M.I.A. Preview: Peacock Unveils Trailer for Florida Crime Drama

Peacock’s launched the official action-packed trailer for M.I.A., a new crime drama from Bill Dubuque. The nine-episode drama, set in Florida, will premiere on May 7, 2026 with the release of the entire season.

Shannon Gisela (Echoes) leads the cast as Etta Tiger Jonze. Cary Elwes stars as Kincaid, Danay Garcia plays Leah, Brittany Adebumola is Lovely, and Dylan Jackson is Stanley. Alberto Guerra plays Elias, Maurice Compte is Mateo, Gerardo Celasco plays Samuel, and Marta Milans is Caroline.

“Restless in the Florida Keys, Etta Tiger Jonze dreams of a life in Miami’s glittering, sub-tropical kingdom,” reads Peacock’s synopsis. “When her family’s drug-running business shatters in tragedy, however, Etta embarks on a dangerous journey through Miami’s neon-lit underbelly that will define who she is and what she’s ultimately capable of.”

Karen Campbell is the showrunner and serves as a writer and executive producer. Additional executive producers include series creator and writer Bill Dubuque and director Alethea Jones. Additional directors include Marizee Almas, Ben Semanoff, and John Dahl.
