As expected, NBC has renewed the Chicago trio – Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. – for new seasons. The network also wants more of both Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU, with both shows solidifying their spots on NBC’s 2024-2025 primetime lineup.

The fate of Law & Order: Organized Crime starring Christopher Meloni as Det. Elliot Stabler is still up in the air.

According to NBC, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago P.D. rank as the top three shows in total viewers. They also maintain spots on the 2023-2024 Top 10 primetime series list. Chicago Fire season 12 leads the Chicago pack, averaging 12.6 million viewers. Chicago P.D. season 11 follows with 12 million, and Chicago Med season nine is pulling in 10.5 million viewers.

Law & Order: SVU season 25 holds the number one spot among adults 18-49 on Thursday nights, averaging 11.2 million viewers. Law & Order, currently in its 23rd season, draws an average of 7.7 million viewers.

The just-announced renewals all come from Universal Studio Group’s Universal Television division and Dick Wolf’s Wolf Entertainment.
