AMC just released three new photos from the upcoming fourth season of the comic book-inspired series, Preacher. The fourth season will premiere on August 4, 2019 and will air on Sundays at 9pm ET/PT.

Dominic Cooper (“Jesse Custer”), Oscar nominee Ruth Negga (“Tulip O’Hare”), and Joseph Gilgun (“Cassidy”) return to lead the cast of the show’s final season. Additional returning series regulars include Ian Colletti as Arseface, Graham McTavish as The Saint of Killers/The Cowboy, Pip Torrens as Herr Starr, Julie Ann Emery as Lara Featherstone, and Noah Taylor as Adolf Hitler.

Sam Catlin continues as showrunner for the series’ last season. Catlin also executive produces with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

The Season 4 Plot, Courtesy of AMC:

Preacher is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy come together, and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.

As the series inches closer to the finale, God’s endgame for the universe begins to click into place. Trapped between heavenly prophecies, hellish prisons, and all-out nuclear war, Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy make their bloody way to the Most High. Whether they can reach God in time — or whether all this carnage is part of His divine plan — will soon be revealed as Preacher barrels towards the end of the world.”
