Get ready, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin fans – the finale is here and it’s a creepy wild ride. Season one episode 10 – “Final Girls” – starts off back on December 31, 1999 at the Waters’ house. Rose Waters (Jeanette Bonner) takes a page from the mom in Carrie and is upset with Angela (Gabriella Pizzolo), pointing out her makeup and how she’s showing off her body. Rose blames her daughter for being raped, claiming she invited it.
Angela, rightfully, tells her mother it’s not her fault. Rose tells her not to go to the party but Angela storms out.
Present day, December 14th: Faran (Zaria) is happy her dad’s been released from jail, and Zeke (Benton Greene) confirms he believes this was a warning from Sheriff Beasley.
Tabby (Chandler Kinney) asks Wes (Derek Klena) if he remembers the night they showed Jaws 2. He does and remembers they were slammed and she and Chip both bailed. Tabby’s confused because she asked Chip to cover for her, but Wes is sure Chip left too. He assumes Chip also went to the party.
The girls meet up and Faran informs them Sheriff Beasley raped Angela. Imogen (Bailee Madison) fills them in on the news that Beasley and her mom dated in high school. However, the most shocking news is that someone dug up Imogen’s mom’s body.
They wonder if Sheriff Beasley is A, but Noa (Maia Reficco) points out they thought the train car guy was A. Their moms must have known what Beasley did to Angela, so the question is why didn’t they say anything? Noa thinks they should question them again, but this time split them up.
The girls interrogate their moms and Faran’s mom, Corey (Zakiya Young), confirms Angela said Tom Beasley raped her. Faran asks if it happened before, during, or after Imogen’s mom dated him. Corey recalls they broke up after.
Corey suggests Faran and her friends need to quit while they’re all still in one piece.
Faran and Kelly Beasley (Mallory Bechtel) meet up and she reveals her dad seems to be losing it and knows what’s been said about him. Kelly’s on lockdown and can’t go back to school until after Christmas break. Faran spells it all out – everything they’ve been dealing with including Tyler’s murder and how Karen really died. “I’m telling you now because A is avenging the death of Angela Waters…all the people who hurt her.”
Faran’s going to see if anyone in their group can figure out how to get Kelly and her mom out of that house.
Tabby lets Imogen know she’s very suspicious of Chip and explains what she’s learned, admitting it’s circumstantial evidence. Imogen has an idea. When she woke up on the beach after being raped, her underwear was missing. They need to check Chip’s room.
They ask Chip’s mom if they can borrow his Super 8 for Tabby’s short film, aware that he’s at work. They search his room for Imogen’s missing underwear but come up empty-handed. However, they do find hardcore rapey horror movies.
Plan B: They decide to confront him.
Chip’s still at the theater when Tabby and Imogen accuse him of rape. Tabby explains Wes told her he left the movie theater right after she did. Plus, they have DNA proof he’s the father of Imogen’s baby. Tabby demands to know why he did it. They say they don’t want to get the sheriff involved or everyone to know, but they need closure.
Chip (Carson Rowland) confesses to raping them both. “How could you?! You were my best friend!” says a visibly upset Tabby.
Tabby and Imogen let him know just how badly he hurt them. They also warn him they’re going to take him down. Suddenly, the masked man appears behind Chip. Chip turns around, sees the stranger, and runs away.
A stands there staring at the girls, “He hurt us the same way Tom Beasley hurt Angela Waters,” says Imogen. He takes off after Chip.
The girls get together at school and Tabby and Imogen fill them in on what happened with Chip. Also, A’s back. Faran lets them in on her meeting with Kelly just as A sends another text. It reads: “Your final round is about to begin. You broke our rule.”
Faran realizes A must know she told Kelly. Mouse (Malia Pyles) wonders if the school’s bugged and Noa is confused about why A isn’t punishing Sheriff Beasley since he’s the guiltiest of them all. Imogen thinks there must be someone guiltier, but who’s left is the question. They decide to go back to the Waters’ house and search it for real this time.
As the girls begin their search, the masked man begins to kidnap their moms one by one. Different clues lead the girls to believe it’s possible someone else lived there with Angela and her mom.
Imogen finds two sets of height markings on the wall. Both are labeled “A.W.”
They discover crayons in an animal cage like someone was kept in it. Imogen finds a picture of two kids on Halloween and then receives a text from A: “Time for the trial.” The text is accompanied by a photo of the school. A second photo arrives of their moms passed out in a van.
“Can you guys feel it? One way or another this is ending tonight,” says Imogen as they stand in front of the school. Before going in, Imogen texts Kelly to come to the school.
The only light in the halls are candles with “hall passes” for each of them instructing them where to go. They realize A’s splitting them up and receive yet another text: “All bullies must be punished tonight. Starting with yours. -A.”
Tabby finds Chip taped to a chair with a knife and a note – “Carve an A into his chest.”
Noa finds her mom’s drug dealer along with syringes filled with drugs.
Mouse finds Steve and mouse traps. A wants her to trap him.
Faran finds Madame Giry and a tattoo gun. “Time to make her imperfect,” the note reads.
And the biggest shock of them all… Imogen’s mom’s body is there as well as her headstone. A note next to pliers reads: “Think your mom wasn’t a bully? Look in her mouth and she’ll tell you the truth.”
The girls meet back up and reveal they couldn’t go through with what A wanted them to do to their bullies. They notice Imogen holding onto a wall and she is definitely not okay.
Another text from A arrives: “Well done. You showed mercy. Maybe there’s hope. Gather in the auditorium. The trial begins now.”
They find their moms tied to chairs in a circle. There are also five empty chairs. They run toward them, but the moms warn them to not come any closer. Suddenly A’s there and Imogen asks, “Are you Angela’s brother?”
Principal Clanton (Robert Stanton) is next on the scene, and he confirms the masked man is Angela’s brother, Archie Waters.
Kelly tries to sneak out of the house but her dad, Tom Beasley (Eric Johnson), wants to know where she thinks she’s going. He warns her no one is leaving the house.
Principal Clanton tells the girls he’s impressed they figured out who raped his daughter, Angela. That’s right; Principal Marshall Clanton is Angela Waters’ father!
Elodie (Lea Salonga) doesn’t understand how they didn’t know this. Principal Clanton reveals he and Rose went to high school together and she got pregnant with twins. His parents didn’t approve, and the Waters family needed money so his parents paid them off to move out of town.
Clanton became principal of Millwood High and Rose came back, wanting Angela to get a decent education.
Imogen points out he’s only talking about Angela. Clanton explains Rose wanted Archie at home with her because “he had a face only a mother could love.”
No one could ever know he was Angela’s father, so he watched her from afar until she took her own life. Clanton calls each mother by name and says it’s time for the truth.
Meanwhile at the Beasleys, Kelly, Martha, and Tom are eating dinner when Tom says Karen was the only one who understood him. Kelly brings up that he assaulted a girl and now Karen is dead because of his actions. Martha wants to know what she means by that, and Kelly spills the beans. Kelly explains that someone is punishing people for what he did to Angela Waters.
Martha excuses herself as Kelly warns her dad that when she gets out of the house, she’s going to tell everyone what he did. He produces his gun and asks Kelly how many bullets are in it. He answers his own question and says, “Three. Do you think you’re ever gonna set foot outside this house again?”
Martha returns and shoves a butcher knife into Tom’s stomach. She screams, “No more!”
Kelly finds Greg (Elias Kacavas) at Pinball Pizza and tells him she needs his help.
Back at the school, Imogen reveals she found diary pages in her mom’s mouth that said: “erase her.”
Sidney (Sharon Leal) breaks the silence by saying it all started when Angela was sexually assaulted. A flashback shows Davie (Ava DeMary) asking Angela who hurt her, and Angela telling her it was Tom Beasley. Davie called her a liar and took it personally.
Davie’s big plan was to teach Angela a lesson by acting like she did exist. She got the whole school to join the plan to erase Angela Waters. A short while later, Davie acted like she was sorry for what she did to Angela and invited her to the New Year’s Eve rave. When Angela arrived, she was a mess. It looked like she crawled through the woods. They all ignored her, and the party shunned her.
Imogen asks if he killed her mom. Principal Clanton claims he didn’t but admits he sent her the flyer. Imogen tearfully tries to plead with him, insisting her mom did change. She was a different person, a better person, as an adult. Clanton says it’s too late to save Angela.
Since Davie took the “coward’s way out,” as he puts it, the sins of the mother must fall upon the child. In a last-ditch effort to save her own life, Imogen brings up that her baby is innocent. She then points out that Principal Clanton erased Angela just as much as their mothers did.
For the sake of her baby, Clanton will give her a head start. Imogen decides to run home after a flashback shows her mother telling her their house is her safe place.
Tabby points out the double standards; Tom Beasley raped Angela and they’re the ones paying.
Kelly and Greg come running in and principal Clanton shoots Greg. As Clanton’s distracted, Tabby takes out Mr. Smithee’s name plaque she stole from the film class and bashes Clanton over the head with it, rendering him unconscious. She unties the moms while the girls begin to tie Clanton up.
Imogen makes it home and has another flashback of playing hide and seek with her mom when she was a girl. Archie finds her in the bathroom her mom killed herself in, but Imogen is prepared and as he draws back the shower curtain, she stabs him. He doesn’t die and grabs her foot, causing her to fall.
Imogen begins to fight for her and her unborn baby’s life. He tries to choke her with one hand, and they fight over his knife with their other hands. She kicks off the wall and the knife plunges into his neck. She stabs him again and he knocks her head into the wall. They both fall to the ground.
The girls and the moms find Imogen and Archie in the hallway. When they ask if he’s dead, Imogen says, “I think so. Also, my water just broke.”
Imogen wakes up from a nightmare at the hospital and frantically asks for her baby. Sidney and Tabby assure her the baby is fine and everything is going to be okay… except Archie survived and is in the hospital as well. But she doesn’t have to worry; he’s guarded by cops.
Sheriff Beasley’s also at the hospital after surviving being stabbed by his wife. Clanton and Chip have been arrested.
Days later, Imogen and her baby visit her mom’s grave. (Davie’s body has been reinterred.) Imogen thinks back on the special memories she shared with her mom. The girls show up to make sure she’s okay, and Imogen confesses she knows who her mom was in high school and who she became. Who Davie became is the one that she’s going to hold in her heart for the rest of her life.
It’s now Christmas Day and everyone – the girls, their parents, the boyfriends, Kelly, her mom, and Greg – gathers to celebrate. They play Tabby’s favorite game of “favorite movie ever,” Marjorie chooses this time to let everyone know she’s checking into rehab after the holidays. Elodie offers to take Noa in and Corey assures her they’ll all take good care of Noa.
Corey announces she’s staying in Millwood, and Shirley says she and Elodie are going to start going to couples therapy.
Later, Corey breaks it to Tabby and Imogen that Chip is home. His parents made bail. Imogen and Tabby have decided they want to press charges against Chip for what he did, and Corey reminds them it won’t be easy. However, she has lawyers who will work pro bono. She’ll also do everything she can to help.
And now we’re treated to one final connection to the original Pretty Little Liars series. Imogen asks Tabby to come with her to Rosewood to meet the couple who are going to adopt her baby. Their names are Aria and Ezra (characters from Pretty Little Liars) and they’re open to giving her updates on the baby’s life.
Tabby wants to know if Imogen’s newly activated mother’s intuition thinks this is really over. Imogen thinks it is, but she couldn’t be more wrong. A nurse enters Tom Beasley’s hospital room only to find him a bloody mess and an empty bed where a once-wounded Archie Waters was. There’s a dead police guard nearby.
The final scene of season one episode 10 finds Chip answering his door to find the masked man standing there.
