Freeform’s fantasy series, Shadowhunters, kicked off its third season on March 20, 2018. The season three premiere introduced the new big bad, Lilith (Anna Hopkins), and found Clary officially becoming a Shadowhunter. To mark Clary’s graduation, Isabelle had the honor of accompanying the new Shadowhunter while she chose her new weapons.
Clary and Jace had some alone time, but unfortunately Jace couldn’t completely relax because he kept having visions of Jonathan returned from the dead and even more disturbing visions of killing Clary. Plus, the fabulous duo struggled to keep Jace’s death and resurrection a secret.
In other news, Alec passed up an opportunity for advancement and opted to stay in New York with Magnus instead. Also, the Seelie Queen branded Simon with something that would have killed anyone other than a Daylighter.
Up next, season three episode two titled “The Powers That Be.” Episode two will air on March 27, 2018 at 8pm PT/ET.
The season three cast includes Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, Dominic Sherwood as Jace Wayland, Alberto Rosende as Simon Lewis, Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle Lightwood, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway, and Harry Shum Jr. as Magnus Bane. Guest stars include Alisha Wainwright as Maia Roberts and David Castro as Raphael Santiago. The series is executive produced by Todd Slavkin, Darren Swimmer, McG, Matt Hastings, Mary Viola, Martin Moszkowicz and Robert Kulzer.
“The Powers That Be” Plot: The Warlocks’ magic is becoming corrupted by a demonic presence while Izzy and Luke try to track down more information on the recent series of possessions.
