Jerrod Carmichael (The Carmichael Show) is confirmed to make his Saturday Night Live hosting debut with the April 2, 2022 show. Carmichael’s hosting gig is scheduled for the day after his new special Jerrod Carmichael: Rothaniel premieres on HBO. Carmichael will be joined on the April 2nd episode by musical guest Gunna. The Grammy nominee is also making his debut on the SNL stage in support of his latest album, DS4Ever.

Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain) is set to make his second appearance as SNL host on the April 9th show. Gyllenhaal was recently seen in director Antoine Fuqua’s The Guilty and has Michael Bay’s Ambulance heading to theaters on April 8th. He’s currently busy with writer/director Guy Ritchie’s The Interpreter with Dar Salim, Alexander Ludwig, and Antony Starr.

Grammy nominee Camila Cabello will join Gyllenhaal for the April 9th episode, marking her second time as an SNL musical guest. Cabello will be dropping her new album, Familia, on April 8th.

Grammy Award winner Lizzo is scheduled to make her hosting debut with the April 16th episode and will be pulling double duty as the episode’s musical guest. Lizzo made her SNL musical guest debut on the December 21, 2019 episode hosted by SNL veteran Eddie Murphy.

Lizzo’s set to launch Watch Out for the Big Grrrls on Prime Video on March 25th. The competition series finds Lizzo searching for “confident, bad-ass women to join her world.
