HBO Max’s April 2022 lineup is set to include the return of the critically acclaimed The Flight Attendant, season three of A Black Lady Sketch Show, and the launch of Barry’s third season. Made for Love, Gentleman Jack, and The Great Pottery Throw Down also kick off new seasons in April.
The subscription service will debut Oscar winner Barry Levinson’s The Survivor, a gritty dramatic film based on true events and starring Ben Foster (Leave No Trace) as a Holocaust survivor on April 27th.
HBO Max has set an April 25 premiere date for We Own This City with Jon Bernthal. The series comes from The Wire producers and is based on the true story of corruption within the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force. And skateboarding icon Tony Hawk is the subject of Tony Hawk: Until the Wheels Fall Off, a feature-length documentary debuting on April 5th.
On April 7th HBO Max will launch Tokyo Vice based on true events and starring Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe. Emmy Award-winning filmmakers Phil Lott and Ari Mark debut their three-part documentary series The Invisible Pilot on April 4th. The Invisible Pilot examines the story of a “daring husband and father who unexpectedly jumps off of a bridge in 1977, despite his successful career as a pilot and seemingly happy home life. The story begins in the Midwest and ends up as part of one of the biggest political scandals of the 21st century.”
