NBC’s October 14, 2017 Saturday Night Live episode served up a Halloween scare with a twisted take on Warner Bros Pictures’ It. Season 43’s third episode, hosted by Kumail Nanjiani with musical guest Pink, found SNL skewering Trump’s Counselor Kellyanne Conway with two-time Emmy-winner Kate McKinnon transforming into a Kellyanne Conway version of Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
Kellywise’s victim in the skit was Anderson Cooper, played by Alex Moffat, who was tempted by Kellyanne’s promise of ridiculous quotes. When that didn’t work, Kellywise morphed into Hillary Clinton and tried to lure Anderson into the sewer with the offer of a copy of her book, What Happened.
SNL season 43 episode three had strong overnight ratings, scoring the best ratings of the current season. Episode four airing on November 4, 2017 will be hosted by Larry David with musical guest Miley Cyrus.
