‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ Teaser Trailer and Premiere Date

What would you do for $4.56 million? The teaser trailer for Squad Game: The Challenge, the competition series based on the critically acclaimed, award-winning (and incredibly violent) Squad Game, asks that question. And for hundreds of people, the answer is apparently just about anything.

The competition begins on Netflix on November 22, 2023. The original Squid Game aired in September 2021 and has been renewed for season two. A date hasn’t been set for its debut.

Squid Game took the world by storm with director Hwang’s captivating story and iconic imagery. We’re grateful for his support as we turn the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment,” stated Brandon Riegg, Netflix VP of Unscripted and Documentary Series, in June 2022 when the competition spinoff was announced. “Fans of the drama series are in for a fascinating and unpredictable journey as our 456 real-world contestants navigate the biggest competition series ever, full of tension and twists, with the biggest ever cash prize at the end.”
