Disney unveiled the first Star Wars: Skeleton Crew trailer, confirming the new addition to the sci-fi franchise is in fact a coming-of-age story. The trailer targets younger Star Wars fans and although Jude Law puts in a brief appearance, its main focus is on introducing the kids at the heart of the series.
In addition to two-time Oscar nominee Jude Law, the series stars Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, and Kyriana Kratter. Robert Timothy Smith, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon, and Nick Frost also star.

“Skeleton Crew follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy, crossing paths with the likes of Jod Na Nawood, the mysterious character played by Law,” reads Disney+’s synopsis. “Finding their way home—and meeting unlikely allies and enemies—will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.”
Jon Watts, David Lowery, the Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung direct episodes. Executive producers include Christopher Ford, Jon Watts, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew premieres on Disney+ on December 3, 2024 with the release of the first two episodes.
