Oscar nominee Colin Farrell returns to star in Apple TV’s genre-bending Sugar season two. In season one, Sugar’s true origins were revealed. The finale left the stranger in a strange land on his own, without the support of his fellow space travelers.
The eight-episode second season, which premieres on June 19, 2026, also stars Jin Ha, Raymond Lee, Tony Dalton, Laura Donnelly, and Sasha Calle. Shea Whigham appears as a special guest star.

“Sugar is a contemporary, unique take on one of the most popular and significant genres in literary, motion picture, and television history: the private detective story,” reads Apple TV’s synopsis. “Season two ushers in the return of Los Angeles’s iconic private detective and film connoisseur John Sugar, played by Colin Farrell, who stayed on earth in hopes of finding his sister as he takes on a new missing persons case—searching for the older brother of an up-and-coming local boxer. As the investigation expands into a sinister, city-wide conspiracy, Sugar must reckon with himself to answer the question—how far will he go to do what’s right?”
Sam Catlin guides the neo-noir detective series as showrunner and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Colin Farrell, Audrey Chon, Simon Kinberg, Scott Greenberg, and Chip Vucelich.
