‘The Curse’ Series Preview: Cast, Plot, Photos and Trailer

Showtime and A24’s official trailer for the genre-bending series The Curse shows the origin of the show’s title and how one horribly uncharitable act affects the lives of a young couple. The 10-episode series is set to premiere on Paramount+ with Showtime on Friday, November 10, 2023 followed by its linear debut on Showtime on Sunday, November 12 at 10pm ET/PT.

Co-creators Nathan Fielder (The Rehearsal) and Benny Safdie (Oppenheimer) star alongside Oscar winner Emma Stone (La La Land). Fielder and Stone lead the cast as Asher and Whitney Siegel, the married couple at the center of the story. Safdie plays their friend Dougie, who’s involved with their home improvement show. Barkhad Abdi, Corbin Bernsen, and Constance Shulman appear in guest starring roles.

Showtime describes The Curse as exploring “how an alleged curse disturbs the relationship of a newly married couple as they try to conceive a child while co-starring in their new home-improvement show.” Executive producers Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie wrote the series, with Fielder directing. Additional executive producers include Elara’s Josh Safdie and Fruit Tree’s Emma Stone, Dave McCary, and Ali Herting.
