The ninth and final season of The CW’s The Flash kicks off with an episode that finds Barry and Iris stuck in a time loop. Directed by Vanessa Parise from a script by Eric Wallace, season nine episode one will air on February 8, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT.
Grant Gustin leads the cast as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton plays Iris, Danielle Nicolet is Cecile, and Jesse L. Martin is Joe. The season nine cast also includes Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, Kayla Compton as Allegra Garcia, Jon Cor as Mark Blaine, and Brandon McKnight as Chester P. Runk.
“Wednesday Ever After” Plot: Barry creates a map book to guide him and Iris throughout their future in order to keep her safe, but the results are not what he expected, and instead, they relive the same day over and over again. Joe has a heart-to-heart with Cecile. A new big bad is introduced to Team Flash and friends and foes, old and new, begin to descend upon Central City.
The Final Season Plot:
Barry Allen lived a normal life as a perpetually tardy C.S.I. in the Central City Police Department. But his life changed forever when the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded, creating a dark-matter lightning storm that struck Barry… bestowing him with super-speed and making him the fastest man alive — The Flash.
After defeating the Reverse Flash once and for all, it’s one week later following their epic battle… and Barry and Iris West-Allen are reconnecting and growing closer than ever before. But when a deadly group of Rogues descend on Central City led by a powerful new threat, The Flash and his team — Caitlin Snow, Meta-Empath Cecile Horton, the light-powered meta Allegra Garcia, brilliant tech-nerd Chester P. Runk, and reformed cryogenics thief Mark Blaine – must once again defy impossible odds to save the day. But as The Rogues are defeated…a deadly new adversary rises to challenge Barry Allen’s heroic legacy.
And in their greatest battle yet, Barry and Team Flash will be pushed to their limits, in order to save Central City one last time.
