The teaser for The Gilded Age season four confirms that Christine Baranski will once again have the best lines. The minute-long video also teases more ruthless deals are in the works, and power grabs aren’t limited to the normal key players.
HBO’s Emmy-nominated series premiered in January 2022, followed by season two in October 2023 and season three in June 2025. The eight-episode fourth season will premiere on November 1, 2026. New episodes will air on Sundays at 9pm ET/PT.
Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Morgan Spector, Louisa Jacobson, Denée Benton, Taissa Farmiga, and Harry Richardson star. The cast also includes Blake Ritson, Ben Ahlers, Ashlie Atkinson, Dylan Baker, Kelley Curran, Jordan Donica, Jessica Frances Dukes, Amy Forsyth, and Jack Gilpin.
The massive ensemble continues with Simon Jones, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Ben Lamb, Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Debra Monk, Hattie Morahan, Donna Murphy, Kristine Nielsen, Kelli O’Hara, Taylor Richardson, Douglas Sills, and Erin Wilhelmi. Rounding out season four’s cast are John Douglas Thompson, Taylor Trensch, James Scully, Dennis Haysbert, Maggie Kuntz, Neal Huff, Bonnie Milligan, Jim Gaffigan, Dallas Roberts, Andrew Burnap, Elizabeth Marvel, Adrienne Warren, Bill Camp, and Phylicia Rashad.
“Bertha Russell changed society at a cost. Now, her family must reckon with the consequences as Agnes van Rhijn seizes an opportunity to regain her position,” reads HBO’s synopsis. “Meanwhile, Marian forges a new path for herself, and Peggy works to be accepted by her future in-laws. In this new era, you must be careful what you wish for.”
The critically acclaimed period drama was created by Julian Fellowes, who serves as writer and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Gareth Neame, David Crockett, Bob Greenblatt, Kate Churchill, Davita Scarlett, and Elaine Aronson. Salli Richardson-Whitfield directs and executive produces, and Sonja Warfield writes and executive produces.
