Peacock’s The Good Daughter limited series will premiere on November 12, 2026 with the release of the six-episode season. The series is based on Karin Slaughter’s 2017 bestselling novel, and Slaughter (Pieces of Her) serves as writer, executive producer, and showrunner.
Peacock just released the first teaser trailer and photos from the series, two months out from its debut.
Jessica Biel was originally announced to star and executive produce but stepped away from the project in 2024. Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy lead a cast that includes Brendan Gleeson, Olivia Williams, Harper Steele, Michael Dorman, Audrey Grace Marshall, and Drew Cheek.
“The Good Daughter is a suspenseful thriller wrapped in a deeply emotional story about love, family, and resilience. Sisters Charlotte (Fahy) and Samantha (Byrne) Quinn have spent the last 20 years trying to piece together the lives that were fractured by a single night of violence,” reads Peacock’s synopsis. “When another attack splinters the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte – now a lawyer like her father – is the first witness on the scene. As the case unfolds and twists through painful memories and buried secrets, what emerges is not just a story of survival but of enduring ties between a father and his daughters and the complex bond between sisters.”
Slaughter describes The Good Daughter as “a story of love, family, and the unbreakable bond between two resilient, funny, difficult sisters. Rose Byrne and Made Up Stories’ Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky, and Casey Haver executive produce. Steph Green serves as an executive producer and directed all six episodes.
