Hulu’s unveiled the first official photos from Under the Bridge, an upcoming limited series starring Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon) and Emmy nominee Riley Keough (Daisy Jones & The Six). The eight-episode series dives into the murder of Reena Virk in 1997 as documented in Rebecca Godfrey’s Under the Bridge: The True Story of the Murder of Reena Virk, published in 2005.
The first batch of photos feature series stars Gladstone, Keough, Chloe Guidry, Izzy G, Vritika Gupta, Aiyana Goodfellow, Javon Walton, Archie Panjabi and Ezra Faroque Khan. Quinn Shephard adapted Godfrey’s book and serves as an executive producer. Additional executive producers include Keough, Gina Gammell, Samir Mehta, Liz Tigelaar, Stacey Silverman, Shephard, Tara Duncan, and author Godfrey (posthumously).
Geeta Patel directs and executive produces.
“Under the Bridge is based on acclaimed author Rebecca Godfrey’s book about the 1997 true story of fourteen-year old Reena Virk (Gupta) who went to join friends at a party and never returned home,” reads Hulu’s synopsis. “Through the eyes of Godfrey (Keough) and a local police officer (Gladstone), the series takes us into the hidden world of the young girls accused of the murder — revealing startling truths about the unlikely killer.”
Under the Bridge premieres on April l7, 2024 with the release of the first two episodes. New episodes arrive on Wednesdays.
