Expectations are incredibly high for the Wrexham Red Dragons in season two of FX’s Welcome to Wrexham. The underdog football club increased its worldwide fanbase over the first season, which spotlighted not just club members but residents of the struggling small town. Season two of the Emmy-nominated series – and Critics Choice-winning – documentary series picks up the story after the club’s heartbreaking loss at the end of season one.
Club owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney executive produce along with Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Nick Frenkel, and George Dewey. Additional executive producers include Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Alan Bloom, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma, and Jordan Wynn.
The new season premieres on FX on September 12, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT.

In 2020, Rob and Ryan teamed up to purchase the 5th tier Red Dragons in the hopes of turning the Club into an underdog story the whole world could root for. The world took notice and change is afoot.
