Doc Holliday warns it’s about to get weird in the season three trailer for Syfy’s hit genre-bending series Wynonna Earp. Season three is set to premiere on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT with Melanie Scrofano back in the title role. Last season’s pregnancy twist caught everyone off-guard, and it’ll be interesting to see how the writers top that in the upcoming season.
In addition to Melanie Scrofano, the cast of season three includes Dominique Provost-Chalkley as Waverly Earp, Tim Rozon as Doc Holliday, Shamier Anderson as Agent Xavier Dolls, and Katherine Barrell as Nicole Haught.
The popular series is based on the IDW Publishing comic book created by Beau Smith. Wynonna Earp was developed for television by Emily Andras who serves as an executive producer and showrunner. Jordy Randall, Tom Cox, Ted Adams, David Ozer, Rick Jacobs and Todd Berger are also executive producers. The show’s produced by SEVEN24 Films and distributed by IDW Entertainment.
The Plot: Wynonna Earp follows the life of famous lawman Wyatt Earp’s demon-fighting great-great-granddaughter Wynonna (Scrofano), who inherited Wyatt’s mythic abilities and his famous gun in order to put an end to the Earp curse once and for all. As a special agent in the Black Badge Division (a top secret sector of the U.S. Marshals) and with the help of her younger sister, Waverly (Provost-Chalkley), boss, Agent Xavier Dolls (Anderson), notorious gunslinger Doc Holliday (Rozon) and officer Nicole Haught (Barrell), Wynonna is determined to put an end to the Earp curse once and for all.
In season three, reckless and reluctant warrior hero Wynonna and her team of outmatched outsiders return to face monsters, revenants and their biggest fears as they fight to take down the demon who cursed the Earp family before he destroys the Ghost River Triangle – and the world.
