Paramount+ confirmed the upcoming fourth season will be the final season of Yellowjackets. The series debuted in November 2021, with season three premiering in February 2025. Season four has a November 20, 2026 launch date.
The streamer reports that season three was the series’ most-watched season.
Emmy nominee Melanie Lynskey (Castle Rock), Emmy nominee Christina Ricci (Z: The Beginning of Everything), Tawny Cypress (Unforgettable), Sophie Nélisse (The Book Thief), Jasmin Savoy Brown (The Leftovers), Sophie Thatcher (Heretic), and Samantha Hanratty (Shameless) return to star in the final season. The returning cast also includes Courtney Eaton (Mad Max: Fury Road), Liv Hewson (Santa Clarita Diet), Warren Kole (Shades of Blue), Kevin Alves (Locke & Key), Sarah Desjardins (The Night Agent), Nia Sondaya (Heart Shot), Jenna Burgess (Lies Between Friends), and two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby).

Paramount+’s synopsis reads: “Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, the series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”
And the streamer teases this about season four: “As the survivors race to bury their sins before rescue arrives and an old flame roars back into town with plans of her own. Turns out not every homecoming is a joyous one, and this one’s going to sting.”
Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson created the series and serve as executive producers and showrunners. Additional executive producers include Jonathan Lisco, Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa, Julia Bicknell, and Creative Engine’s Drew Comins.
