Harrison Ford Earns a Lifetime Achievement Award

CinemaCon has selected Harrison Ford to be the recipient of their Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s event in Las Vegas. Managing Director Mitch Neuhauser made the announcement today, stating, “With a career spanning five decades, Harrison Ford has brought some of the most memorable characters of our time alive on the big screen. From Han Solo to Indiana Jones, he has showcased his innate ability to embrace and mold these remarkable roles into characters that will forever be remembered by movie lovers around the world for decades to come. We could not be more honored to present this year’s ‘CinemaCon® Lifetime Achievement Award’ to such a remarkable actor, Harrison Ford.”

CinemaCon will take place April 15-18th at Caesars Palace in Vegas, with Ford picking up his award during a special ceremony on April 18th.

Ford has a starring role in Ender’s Game, set for release on November 1, 2013. He’ll also be seen playing Branch Rickey in the baseball drama 42 coming in April.
