Yes, Mercedes Benz is using sex – in the form of supermodel Kate Upton – to sell their Mercedes Benz-CLA during the 2013 Super Bowl. The new commercial finds Kate in a black tank top and jeans shorts blowing soap bubbles off her hand and supervising a bunch of guys washing the car. Is it an effective video? You be the judge. Frankly, it did nothing for me – but I’m not the targeted demographic.
