Gomez reads into every one of the painter’s actions, imagining herself as the female love interest in the bestseller soon to be a major motion picture (just love how that line never gets old, right?).
In the real world, fan campaigns have already formed backing a wide variety of actors to fill the role of Christian Grey. Alexander Skarsgard, Ian Somerhalder, the Hemsworth brothers (Chris and Liam), Zac Efron, Armie Hammer, and Wentworth Miller all have their supporters. Even Ryan Gosling seems to be mentioned a lot, although I think convincing him to tackle the lead role would be nearly impossible.
