Paramount Pictures just unveiled the official teaser poster for the sixth film of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Mission: Impossible – Fallout. The teaser poster arrived with the confirmation that the trailer will premiere on Sunday, February 4, 2018 during the Super Bowl.
Tom Cruise reprises his starring role as Ethan Hunt in the new Mission: Impossible film which is currently in production. Cruise has been keeping Mission: Impossible fans updated on the film via Instagram, even debuting the film’s official title on his new Instagram account.
Cruise’s co-stars in MI6 include Henry Cavill, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris, Angela Bassett, Vanessa Kirby, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, Wes Bentley, and Frederick Schmidt. Christopher McQuarrie reunites with Cruise after directing the three-time Oscar nominee in Jack Reacher and 2015’s Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. McQuarrie also wrote the script with Bruce Geller, and he serves as a producer along with Cruise, Jake Myers, and J.J. Abrams.
The Mission: Impossible film franchise launched in 1996 with Cruise starring and Brian De Palma directing. Mission: Impossible II followed in 2000 with John Woo at the helm. J.J. Abrams took on the task of directing Mission: Impossible III which opened in 2006. Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol came next in 2011 and had Brad Bird at the helm. The most recent film of the franchise, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, was released in 2015 with McQuarrie writing and directing.
Mission: Impossible – Fallout will open in theaters on July 27, 2018.
