Smile‘s looking to turn some horror fans’ frowns upside down with the release of its official trailer. The incredibly creepy trailer waits until the very end to deliver its biggest jumpscare…and boy is it a doozy.
Paramount Pictures also dropped a new poster and photo from the R-rated horror film along with the two minute video.
The cast is led by Sosie Bacon (Mare of Easttown) and includes Jessie T. Usher (The Boys), Kyle Gallner (Interrogation), Robin Weigert (American Horror Story), Caitlin Stasey (Bridge and Tunnel), Kal Penn (Designated Survivor) and Rob Morgan (Stranger Things). Parker Finn wrote and directed, with Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, and Robert Salerno producing.
Smile opens wide in theaters on September 30, 2022.
Paramount released the following synopsis:
“After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter (Bacon) starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.”
