‘The Strangers: Prey at Night’ Debuts a New Trailer and Poster

Aviron Pictures has released a new full trailer for the horror sequel, The Strangers: Prey at Night. The studio’s also unveiled a new creepy poster featuring three of the mask-wearing crazed killers who’ll be slaughtering innocent victims in the 2018 The Strangers sequel.

The Strangers sequel was directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down) from a script by Bryan Bertino (The Monster, Mockingbird) and Ben Ketai (Chosen, The Forest). Christina Hendricks (Hap and Leonard, Mad Men), Martin Henderson (Grey’s Anatomy, The Red Road), Bailee Madison (The Fosters, Once Upon a Time), and Lewis Pullman (Battle of the Sexes) star in the horror film. Wayne Marc Godfrey, James Harris, Robert Jones, and Mark Lane served as producers.

The Strangers: Prey at Night is set to open in theaters on March 9, 2018.

The 2008 The Strangers featured a cast that included Liv Tyler (the Lord of the Rings films), Scott Speedman (Animal Kingdom), Gemma Ward (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), Kip Weeks (Ragged Isle), Laura Margolis (Dirty Sexy Money), and Glenn Howerton (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia). Bryan Bertino wrote and directed the popular horror film that hit theaters on May 30, 2008 and grossed nearly $21 million over its first weekend in domestic release. The R-rated horror film rang up $30 million at the foreign box office and collected $82 million worldwide by the time it had finished its theatrical run. Rogue Pictures distributed The Strangers which had a budget of less than $10 million.

The Plot: A family’s road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s every limit as they struggle to survive.
