Celebrities are set to compete alongside previous Masterchef Junior contestants in Fox’s Thanksgiving holiday special, Masterchef Junior: Celebrity Showdown. The special will pit How I Met Your Mother‘s Alyson Hannigan against Rel‘s Lil Rel Howery. Modern Family‘s Eric Stonestreet will take on Empire‘s Terrence Howard, and ex-Dallas Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith goes head-to-head with ex-San Francisco 49ers’ Jerry Rice.
Michelin star Chef Gordon Ramsay and Chef Aarón Sánchez host the showdown. The celebrities will be competing for $25,000 in prize money which will be donated to the winners’ chosen charities.
The two-hour holiday special will air on November 22, 2018 at 8pm ET/PT.

Emmitt Smith (@EmmittSmith22), formerly of the Dallas Cowboys, gets an assist from the most recent winner of Masterchef Junior, 11-year-old Beni Cwiakala. Jerry Rice (@JerryRice), who played for the San Francisco 49ers, will be teamed up with Masterchef Junior Season Four winner, 13-year-old Addison Smith.
