Carol took home top honors from the New York Film Critics Circle winning Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Director awards from the New York group. The NYFCC also spread their love around to Spotlight, Brooklyn, Clouds of Sils Maria, Bridge of Spies, Son of Saul, and Inside Out, with all of the winners set to be honored at a ceremony on January 4, 2016.

“This group is known for inserting films into the awards conversation and this year was no different,” stated 2015 NYFCC Chairman Marshall Fine. “I’m particularly pleased at how New York-centric so many of the films are, representing many parts of the city, as well as several different eras.”
