To Write Love on Her Arms’ annual “HEAVY AND LIGHT” event will be held on January 7, 2012 at the House of Blues Orlando. The event will feature Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional, David Bazan of Pedro The Lion, William Fitzsimmons, Mariah McManus, Noah Gundersen, the return of spoken word poet Anis Mojgani, as well as speaking by TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski and others.
“We’re so excited for the return of HEAVY AND LIGHT. It’s our favorite night of the year. It’s not a benefit show. It’s a creative attempt to move and encourage people to get the help they need and deserve,” stated Tworkowski.
The event’s name comes from “Our hearts are heavy and light. We laugh and scream and sing. Our hearts are heavy and light,” which Tworkowski wrote in response to the death of Hawthorne Heights guitarist Casey Calvery on November 24th, 2007.
