USA Network wants more of the Chrisley family. The network’s just given the reality series Chrisley Knows Best a fourth season order, with 12 new episodes expected to air next year. The ratings for season three have increased over season two, and the first half of season three will finish up on Tuesday, July 21, 2015. The second half of the third season will air this fall.
According to USA Network, Chrisley Knows Best is one of the top 10 “unscripted cable series in all key demos and total viewers since its third season debut.”
“The Chrisleys continue to be on a roll, as fans can’t get enough of the family’s amusing, unfiltered and relatable moments,” stated Chris McCumber, President of USA Network. “We’re pleased to bring fans a fourth season of Chrisley Knows Best, a show that keeps growing its audience, resonates with viewers and always has us guessing what’s next for Todd and his family.”
The Plot:
The real-life family comedy, which broke its ratings record on its third season premiere, follows the entertaining lives of Atlanta-based outspoken and overprotective “Patriarch of Perfection” Todd Chrisley, his charming wife Julie, their children and grandchildren, and Todd’s hilarious mother, Nanny Faye.
In the July 7, 2015 episode Todd learns that Savannah has a new boyfriend who she’s intentionally keeping away from meeting her nosy and meddling family. In true Todd fashion, he goes to extreme lengths to get a glimpse of Savannah’s new guy and doesn’t like what he sees. The mid-season summer finale wraps up on Tuesday, July 21 with two back-to-back episodes including “Midlife Chrisley” airing at 9/8c and “Dude Ranch” airing at 9:30/8:30c, each of which feature birthday milestones for Todd and Grayson that are not to be forgotten and are celebrated in true extreme Chrisley form.
The second half of season three picks up this fall with six new episodes, including the family’s first overseas vacation in London before Chase and Savannah leave the cozy Chrisley nest and venture off to college.

Pitch Perfect‘s Anna Camp, Mad Men‘s Vincent Kartheiser, and Divergent‘s Ray Stevenson are confirmed to star in National Geographic Channel’s four hour movie event Saints & Strangers. The cast also includes Michael Jibson, Ron Livingston, Natascha McElhone, Tatanka Means, Brian F. O’Byrne, Kalani Queypo, Barry Sloane, and Raoul Trujillo. Paul Edwards is directing Saints & Strangers from a script by Seth Fisher and Eric Overmyer (from an original script by Chip Johannessen, revisions by Walon Green). Filming is expected to kick off this month in South Africa, with Overmyer, Grant Scharbo, Gina Matthews, and Teri Weinberg executive producing. Sony Pictures Television with Little Engine Productions are producing.
Announcing the cast, NGC’s president of original programming and production Tim Pastore said, “I am incredibly excited by the talented ensemble that we have assembled for this movie. Under Paul’s direction, and with the powerful script we have from Eric Overmyer and Seth Fisher, I cannot wait to see what this cast can do.”
The Plot: “Saints & Strangers is a story that goes beyond the familiar historical account of Thanksgiving, revealing the trials and tribulations of the first settlers at Plymouth: 101 men, women and children who sailed on a chartered ship for a place they had ever seen. Of this group, half were those we know as ‘Pilgrims,’ religious separatists who abandoned their prior lives for a single cause: religious freedom. The other, the ‘adventurers,’ were motivated by real-world material objectives as opposed to spiritual ideas. This clash of values created complex inner struggles for the group as they sought to establish new individual identities and a new colony, compounded by a complicated relationship with the Native Americans. The settlers’ willingness to take risks, adapt and persevere despite the odds continues to define the American spirit to this day.”
The Saints:
The “saints” aboard the Mayflower were religious separatists who abandoned their prior lives for religious freedom and an opportunity to create a new social order built on their values.
– Vincent Kartheiser plays William Bradford, the colony’s moral compass who would eventually serve as long-time governor of Plymouth Colony.
– Anna Camp is Dorothy Bradford, his wife, still haunted by their decision to leave their three-year-old son behind for the journey to the New World.
– Ron Livingston stars as John Carver, the initial leader of the Pilgrims and the first governor of the Plymouth Colony.
– Barry Sloane plays Plymouth leader Edward Winslow who would serve as a diplomat to the nearby Pokanoket tribe and their leader Massasoit.
– Michael Jibson is Myles Standish who, though not a separatist himself, was hired as the colony’s military adviser.
The Strangers:
The “strangers” were those Mayflower passengers who were seeking adventure and financial opportunity, not religious freedom.
– Ray Stevenson stars as Stephen Hopkins, a leader of the strangers — albeit one with a checkered past — and the only Mayflower passenger who had previously been to the New World.
– Natascha McElhone is his wife, Elizabeth Hopkins, who gives birth to their second child aboard the Mayflower and is one of only four women to survive to the first Thanksgiving.
– Brían F. O’Byrne is John Billington, an antagonistic patriarch of a family known for troublemaking.
The Native Americans:
The Mayflower passengers were far from the first settlers on New England, preceded by a number of Native American tribes confronted with their own political turmoil long before the arrival of the Europeans.
– Raoul Trujillo plays Massasoit, the sachem — or leader — of the Pokanoket tribe. Plague has decimated the Pokanoket population, leaving Massasoit uncertain of how to deal with the arrival of the new settlers.
– Tatanka Means plays Hobbamock, one of Massasoit’s men and a Pniese — an elite warrior thought to be unkillable in battle.
– Kalani Queypo is Squanto, a former captive and slave of English explorers, who has crossed the Atlantic four times and acts as a translator and negotiator between Massasoit and the governors of the Plymouth Colony.
Aline Elasmar (Shia”), Jeffery Bowyer-Chapman (“Jay”), Constance Zimmer (“Quinn”), Craig Bierko (“Chet”), Shiri Appleby (“Rachel”) and Josh Kelly (“Jeremy”) star in ‘UnREAL’ (Photo by Joseph Viles Copyright 2015)
The dramatic series unREAL will be back for a second season as just announced today by Lifetime’s Executive Vice President and Head of Programming Liz Gateley. The series, which is set in the world of a reality TV series, was created by Marti Noxon and Sarah Gertrude Shapiro and was inspired by Shapiro’s short film Sequin Raze. According to Lifetime, the series has been averaging 4.8 million viewers and skews younger than any other scripted series on the network.
“We couldn’t be more proud to bring back UnREAL. With authentically flawed characters, sharp storytelling and impeccable performances, this show is propelling our brand in a truly exciting direction – an unexpected and bolder Lifetime,” stated Gateley. “We are thrilled to continue our work with Marti and Sarah and the incredible A+E Studios team, as we together bring a new generation of viewers to Lifetime.”
The Plot:
Set against the backdrop of the hit dating competition show Everlasting, UnREAL is led by flawed heroine Rachel Goldberg (Shiri Appleby), a young producer whose sole job is to manipulate her relationships with, and among, the contestants to get the vital dramatic and outrageous footage that the program’s dispassionate executive producer, Quinn King (Constance Zimmer), demands. What ensues is an eye-opening look at what happens in the outrageous world of unscripted television, where being a contestant can be vicious and being a producer is a whole other reality.
UnREAL also stars Craig Bierko as Everlasting’s eccentric creator, Chet; and Freddie Stroma as the dating show’s handsome and intelligent suitor, Adam Cromwell. Josh Kelly plays Jeremy, a cameraman who is Rachel’s ex-boyfriend, while Jeffrey Bowyer Chapman is Jay, a field producer whose ambitions run far beyond the show, at times putting him at odds with Rachel. Everlasting’s contestants include Grace, portrayed by Nathalie Kelley, who immediately wins Adam’s heart; Anna, played by Johanna Braddy, who is classy and shrewd, with her eye on the prize; Faith, a sensitive and vulnerable tomboy from the South portrayed by Breeda Wool; and Mary, played by Ashley Scott, a gorgeous single mom who has been unlucky in love. Arielle Kebbel guest stars as Britney, a contestant who has no filter and isn’t on Everlasting to make any friends.
Comedian/actor Chris Tucker is starring in his first-ever stand-up comedy special, Chris Tucker Live, and Netflix has just launched the official trailer. They’ve also just released the poster for the comedy special, which will debut on Friday, July 10, 2015.
The details: “In the special, Chris Tucker returns to the stage he loves and showcases his mind-blowing comedic chops as he shares his experiences from childhood to the big time. From his pitch-perfect impersonations to his singular on-stage physicality, Chris Tucker is absolutely hilarious and you can tell that he truly loves stand-up comedy.”
