Will someone die tonight on FX’s Sons of Anarchy? We’re getting so close to the series finale that it seems like creator Kurt Sutter must have at least one club member death planned for the ninth episode of season seven airing on November 4, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT. Episode eight found Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and SAMCRO desperately looking for a way to rescue Bobby (Mark Boone Jr) while also attempting to figure out who the rat is who’s been giving away the club’s secrets. Jax landed on Jury White as the likeliest inside player after discovering that one of the men the club killed was Jury’s son.
Meanwhile, Gemma (Katey Sagal) continued to worry that her secret will get out either through Juice (Theo Rossi) or another source – which may end up being Jax’s son, Abel, who now knows that Gemma killed his mom. And the battle Jax has been fighting hit home in the episode when someone left a very personal warning message in his house that included the slaughter of Gemma’s birds and a bear stuck to the wall with a knife in the baby’s room.

The official poster for the Relativity Studios horror sequel The Woman in Black 2 is suitably dark and creepy. Daniel Radcliffe tackled the starring role in the first The Woman in Black film, however the sequel has Jeremy Irvine, Phoebe Fox, and Helen McCrory in starring roles.
Directed by Tom Harper, The Woman in Black 2 will open in theaters on January 2, 2015.
The Plot:
During the London bombings of World War II, school teachers Eve Parkins (Phoebe Fox) and Jean Hogg (Helen McCrory) lead a group of children in evacuation to Crythin Gifford, a remote village outside of the city. When the group takes up residence at the Eel Marsh House, 40 years after Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) investigated the first haunting, Eve soon realizes they are not alone. The longer they stay in the house, the more the awful past of the residence unravels itself and the evil spirit that lurks around them threatens the well-being of the children. With the help of a pilot (Jeremy Irvine), Eve does all that she can to protect the children and discover the truth behind the Woman in Black.
20 animated feature films are in the running for Oscars consideration according to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Not all of the films on the list have had their qualifying run in LA, which is mandatory in order to be eligible for the category.
The 2015 Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. Nominees will be announced on January 15th at 5:30am PT.

CBS says The Mentalist starring Simon Baker and Robin Tunney will begin its final season run on November 30, 2014 at 9:30pm ET (9pm PT), airing for five weeks on Sunday nights and then moving to its Wednesday time slot on January 7, 2015. The series will finish up its seven-season run on February 18th.
CBS also announced the premiere date of Undercover Boss‘ sixth season will be Sunday, December 14th at 8pm ET/PT and then move to Fridays on January 2nd.
“One of the goals this season was to keep expanding our lineup of year-round, original programming and have fewer repeat cycles,” said Kelly Kahl, Senior Executive Vice President, CBS Primetime. “We’re fortunate to have two popular, proven ratings winners in The Mentalist and Undercover Boss to seamlessly join our schedule.”
The network’s also set a February 25th premiere of the new seasons of both Survivor and The Amazing Race.

Lionsgate’s made it official: the cast of the sequel to Now You See Me has expanded by three. Now You See Me 2 has signed up Daniel Radcliffe (currently in theaters in Horns), Master of Sex‘s Lizzy Caplan, and Jay Chou for roles in the dramatic thriller.
Jon M. Chu is directing from a script by Pete Chiarelli and Ed Solomon.
Per the official announcement, Radcliffe will play Walter, Caplan will play Lula, and Chou has been cast as Li. They’ll be joining returning stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelson, Michael Caine, and Dave Franco in the sequel set for a June 2016 release.
The Plot:
One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their mind-bending spectacles, the Four Horsemen resurface in Now You See Me 2 only to find themselves face to face with a new enemy who enlists them to pull off their most dangerous heist yet.

The three-night miniseries Sons of Liberty will debut on History on January 25, 2015. The six-hour action drama will air three nights in a row at 9pm ET/PT, with Ben Barnes, Henry Thomas, Michael Raymond-James, Ryan Eggold, and Rafe Spall in starring roles.
Marton Csokas, Emily Berrington, Jason O’Mara, and Dean Norris also star in the drama about the people behind the American Revolution.
Kari Skogland (Boardwalk Empire) directed the miniseries from a script by Stephen David and David C. White.
The Plot:
Calling themselves the Sons of Liberty, they light the spark that ignited our revolution. While many of their names have become legendary, this group of young rebels didn’t start off as noble patriots. They were a new generation of young American men from varied backgrounds, struggling to find purpose in their lives. They were looking for equality, but they found something greater: Independence.

Filming has begun on Olympus Has Fallen‘s sequel, London Has Fallen, directed by Babak Najafi (Snabba Cash II). The sequel’s shooting with Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, and Melissa Leo back in starring roles. Robert Forster and Radha Mitchell also return in supporting roles.
New members of the cast include Jackie Earle Haley, Alon Aboutboul, Charlotte Riley, and Waleed Zuaiter.
Creighton Rothenberger & Katrin Benedikt (Olympus Has Fallen), Christian Gudegast and Chad St. John wrote the script. Butler, Alan Siegel, John Thompson, Les Weldon, and Mark Gill are producing the action thriller set up at Millennium Films’ and Focus Features.
London Has Fallen will open in theaters on October 2, 2015.
The Plot:
The story begins in London, where the British Prime Minister has passed away under mysterious circumstances. His funeral is a must-attend event for leaders of the western world. However, what starts out as the most protected event on Earth turns into a deadly plot to kill the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate every known landmark in the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. Only three people have any hope of stopping it: the President of the United States, his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent who rightly trusts no one.
Mom stars Anna Faris and Allison Janney will team up to host the 2015 People’s Choice Awards to be held on January 7th at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, as just announced by executive producer Mark Burnett. The nominees were also revealed this morning, with Shailene Woodley, Sam Smith, Grey’s Anatomy, Supernatural, and The Vampire Diaries garnering multiple nominations.

The upcoming 7th season of The Celebrity Apprentice (and 14th overall of The Apprentice series) will feature 16 celebrities including a guy from Deadliest Catch, a comedian, an NFL player, and two Olympic athletes. Just announced on the Today show, the cast of season seven includes Kate Gosselin (TV personality), Kevin Jonas (musician), Gilbert Gottfried (comedian), Shawn Johnson (gymnast), Geraldo Rivera (journalist), Leeza Gibbons (TV personality), Sig Hansen (Deadliest Catch captain), Kenya Moore (TV personality), Ian Ziering (actor), Keshia Knight Pulliam (actor), Johnny Damon (MLB player), Lorenzo Lamas (actor), Jamie Anderson (snowboarder), Vivica A. Fox (actress), and Brandi Glanville (reality TV personality).
The Celebrity Apprentice premieres on NBC on January 4, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT.
“This season of The Celebrity Apprentice is on point to be the best yet,” said Mr. Trump. “With 16 extraordinary contestants bringing their energy to the boardroom, it is sure to be a hit, as always.”
The Celebrity Apprentice will also be bringing back previous season winners Bret Michaels, Piers Morgan, and Trace Adkins to work as advisors. The late Joan Rivers, winner of season two, will also be seen in two of the upcoming season’s episodes. Don Jr., Ivanka and Eric Trump will also be advising Donald Trump on who to let move on in the competition and who to get rid of.
The winner of this season will be awarded a $250,000 bonus check to give to their designated charity. Thus far, The Celebrity Apprentice has donated over $14 million to charity.
The Despicable Me minions take the spotlight in the 2015 spinoff, Minions, which has just debuted an official trailer. Directed by Pierre Coffin, the voice cast includes Sandra Bullock, Michael Keaton, Jon Hamm, Steve Coogan, and Allison Janney.
Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment will be releasing Minions in theaters on July 10, 2015.
The Plot:
The story of Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Minions begins at the dawn of time. Starting as single-celled yellow organisms, Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters. After accidentally killing off so many of them—from T. rex to Napoleon—the Minions find themselves without a master to serve and fall into a deep depression.
But one Minion named Kevin has a plan, and he—alongside teenage rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob—ventures out into the world to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow.
The trio embarks upon an adventure that ultimately leads them to their next potential master, Scarlet Overkill (Bullock), the world’s first-ever female supervillain. They travel from frigid Antarctica to 1960s New York City, ending in mod London, where they must face their biggest challenge to date: saving all of Minionkind…from annihilation.
