Deadman’s Cross Passes the One Million Mark

Deadman's Cross Passes 1 Million Downloads

Zombies are showing no signs of losing their popularity and Square Enix’s zombie-themed collectible card battle RPG, Deadman’s Cross, is a prime example of the continued appeal of the walking dead. Deadman’s Cross has just crossed over the 1 million download mark, and as a thank you for all the support, Square Enix is giving 300 Deadman’s Coins to players who download and register the game through February 28, 2014.

Details on Deadman’s Cross, Courtesy of Square Enix:

In Deadman’s Cross – developed by the same team behind the multimillion-download hit Guardian Cross – an unknown virus has devastated the world and left it overrun by the living dead. Players must hunt down these Deadmen to build their own undead horde to fight for both survival and entertainment. In addition, players must also take on jobs from other survivors to earn experience and resources in order to become the world’s foremost Deadman hunter.

Cards in Deadman’s Cross are collected through a novel hunting system. In the style of a fully 3D first-person shooter, players have the ability to gun down zombies wandering the city and add them to their morbid collection. From famous historical figures to people from all walks of life and animals from around the globe, the game features more than 100 unique cards with stunning artwork, with many more to come in the future.

Much like Guardian Cross, Deadman’s Cross offers far more than strategic and in-depth card battles. Players must complete jobs for a host of colorful NPCs to reveal their unique storylines and unravel the secrets surrounding the cause of the zombie apocalypse. They must also team up with other players from around the world in an all-new Clan system, and together tackle missions with large-scale objectives. With all this and more, Deadman’s Cross brings new life-after-death to the card game genre.

The Story – In June of 2030, a state of martial law was declared in the United States of America. But since then, both the government and media have fallen silent. All that can be heard from the confines of your apartment are the echoes of screams and gunfire. Obeying the federal order to remain indoors, you have passed the last three months alone in your home. Now, driven by survival and gripped by fear, you unbar the door and step out into the unknown.

Paul Rudd kicked off his epic lip sync battle against The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon by taking on Tina Turner’s “You Better Be Good to Me,” setting the bar high right out of the box by pouring his heart into the classic rock song. Fallon followed that up with a performance of “Juke Box Hero” by Foreigner, even falling to the floor on his knees while hanging on to the mic stand.

Not to be outdone, Rudd embraced his inner rocker with “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen. In fact, Rudd’s Queen song was just too much for Fallon to handle and the late night host conceded victory to Rudd.

Viral Video: Justin Timberlake – Why Are You Flipping Me Off?

This video was shot by a Justin Timberlake fan back on November 10, 2013, but is just now really getting attention online. The video shows Timberlake talking to the Philadelphia crowd during his 20/20 Experience tour, discussing their sports teams, and then noticing some woman in the second row flipping him off. He’s momentarily shocked but handles it well, getting everyone in the audience to flip him off so that they can be done and over with it.

“Why are you flipping me off? You got second row to flip me the bird? That makes no f–king sense,” says Timberlake. “You wanted me to see it? But you’re in the second row, you didn’t have to flip me off. I see you in the second row.”

The video was shot by @StephLough – not the woman who flipped off JT.
