Miley Cyrus Dances With Bears, Foam Fingers, and Robin Thicke

Can someone please explain to me what I’m missing? Why did Miley Cyrus appear nearly naked on stage with huge teddy bears at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards? Yes, I’ve seen her “We Can’t Stop” music video but this performance is uncomfortable to watch. See for yourself what happened at the VMAs when Cyrus performed a “We Can’t Stop / Blurred Lines / Give It 2 U” medley with Robin Thicke, Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz.

More Cast Members Announced for Syfy’s High Moon

Syfy LogoSyfy’s pilot episode for the dramatic series High Moon just signed up Jonathan Tucker, Dana Davis, and Peter Macon. The threesome will be joining already announced cast members Chris Diamantopoulos and Jake Sandvig, with executive producer Adam Kane directing from a script by Jim Danger Gray. In addition, Charity Wakefield has committed to a guest starring role in the pilot now shooting in Vancouver.

The High Moon Plot:

High Moon is an imaginative, out-of-this-world adventure series exploring what happens when Earth establishes colonies to mine the Moon’s resources and discover a new form of life. Chaos erupts in a genuinely emotional, humorously thrilling and always unexpected fashion as the colonists of the Moon race to uncover this life form’s powerful secrets.

The Cast and Characters:

Diamantopoulos plays Ian, a chief investigator for the American federal government who is dispatched to the moon to figure out the causes of an explosion.

Sandvig plays his brother Marty, a felon being investigated for engaging in possible espionage and sabotage when the giant blast goes off near an area where he was working on the moon.

Macon will portray General Gale Lynn Winehart, a hard-as-nails American Army General able to kick the crap out of just about anybody. Possessing years of battle experience, he is not only savvy but cautious as he knows things are not always what they seem. He is intent on getting to the bottom of the explosion on the moon.

Davis will portray the cute, rugged, direct and charming Yama Winehart, daughter of General Winehart. She is also the first — and last — kid ever born on the moon. Pre-natal problems with artificial gravity mean she can never leave the moon, giving her a special connection with it and making her the moon’s first environmentalist.

Tucker will portray Stanslav “Stan” Stavin, a handsome and outgoing miner for the Russians. But there is more than meets the eye when it comes to this man.

Wakefield is portraying the smart and savvy Eve St. John-Smythe. Eve is British and has a rakish confidence that comes from being unfathomably rich. She is CEO of the world’s most profitable corporation and is responsible for opening up the moon by providing oxygen to the various countries there. This vision speaks to her fair-mindedness, but controlling who breathes and for what price is also a spigot the cunning businesswoman is happy to adjust to get what she wants. Her political posturing comes from her idealism, and ultimately what she wants is to make good on her family mission to make the moon accessible to everyone on earth.

First Look: ‘Divergent’ Movie Trailer

Will Divergent be able to break the young adult book-to-movie string of bad luck? The first footage debuted at MTV’s Video Music Awards, and those who aren’t familiar with Veronica Roth’s book series may believe this is just a Hunger Games wannabe. It’s not. Roth’s created a world just as harsh and inhospitable as that of Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games series, but Roth’s book series has very little else in common with Collins’.

Directed by Neil Burger, the cast includes Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Jai Courtney, Ray Stevenson, Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller, Maggie Q, Tony Goldwyn, Ashley Judd, Ansel Elgort, Mekhi Phifer, Ben Lamb, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Christian Madsen, Amy Newbold, and Kate Winslet.

Summit Entertainment’s releasing Divergent in theaters on March 21, 2014.

Divergent is a thrilling action-adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities,” reads Summit’s synopsis. “Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.”

‘Ironside’ Series Preview: Cast, Photo Details, and Video

Ironside TV Series Cast
The Cast of 'Ironside' (Photo by © NBC Universal, Inc.)

Blair Underwood and Pablo Schreiber lead the cast of NBC’s new one-hour drama Ironside. Premiering on October 2, 2013, the new series is a reboot of the classic detective series that starred Raymond Burr.

Blair Underwood stars as Det. Robert Ironside, Pablo Schreiber plays Virgil, and Spencer Grammer is Holly. Neal Bledsoe stars as Teddy, Kenneth Choi is Captain Ed Rollins, and Brent Sexton is Gary.

The Synopsis: In the gritty world of the NYPD, no one’s tougher than Det. Robert Ironside (Blair Underwood). He is fearless; his instincts are second to none, and those around him must stay on their toes if they want to keep up. When his spine was shattered by a bullet two years ago, he swore he’d never let a wheelchair slow him down.

Ironside and his trusted, handpicked team of detectives each offer a unique background, perspective, and skill set. Comprising the team are: Virgil (Pablo Schreiber), a man who wrestles with the dichotomy of being one of NYPD’s toughest cops in the city, yet a loving family man at home where he imparts life lessons to his children that he does not necessarily follow in the line of duty; Holly (Spencer Grammer), a strong, feisty detective who loves the rush of being undercover and the danger that goes with the job and who has mysterious family ties to the Brooklyn underworld; and Teddy (Neal Bledsoe), a rich, highly-educated young cop who has never been good with authority and is connected in a way that only those born into wealth enjoy.

Their boss, Capt. Ed Rollins (Kenneth Choi), calm and pragmatic, handles situations with a level head and cool demeanor. He and Ironside share a mutual respect and admiration for each other despite their push-pull relationship.

Also in the mix is Gary (Brent Sexton), Ironside’s scrappy ex-partner and a hard-nosed detective who marvels at Ironside’s will and ability to piece together his life after being shot.

Together, this dedicated and capable group does whatever it takes to solve New York’s most difficult and notorious crimes, and they will stop at nothing in their pursuit of justice.
