
TNT’s just debuted this first look at the new crime drama Mob City from writer, director and executive producer Frank Darabont. Formerly known as Lost Angels, the new TNT series won’t be premiering until December however the network’s showing off this early teaser for the series, which stars Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead), Jeffrey DeMunn (also from The Walking Dead), Neal McDonough, Ed Burns, Gregory Itzin, Robert Knepper, Milo Ventimiglia, Alexa Davalos, and Jeremy Luke.
Mob City is based on the novel L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America’s Most Seductive City by John Buntin.
The Plot:
Mob City centers on Det. Joe Teague (Bernthal), an ex-Marine who holds his cards close to his chest. Teague has been assigned to a new mob task force headed by Det. Hal Morrison (DeMunn). The task force is part of a crusade by Los Angeles Police Chief William Parker (McDonough) to free the city of criminals like Ben “Bugsy” Siegel (Burns) and Mickey Cohen (Luke), the ruthless king of the Los Angeles underworld. Parker also won’t hesitate to go after anyone from his own police force who sells out honor and duty for the sake of a big payout.



Filming’s set to take place later this month on the 90-minute High Moon pilot and Syfy’s just announced a bit of casting news. Chris Diamantopoulos and Jake Sandvig are signed up for starring roles in the sci-fi adventure series based on the book The Lotus Caves by John Christopher. Bryan Fuller (

The romantic thriller I Will Follow You Into the Dark will be heading to theaters on October 11, 2013, so says Epic Pictures Releasing. Directed by Mark Edwin Robinson, I Will Follow You Into the Dark stars Mischa Barton, Ryan Eggold, Leah Pipes, and Jaz Martin.
Daniel Stashower’s nonfiction book The Hour of Peril: The Secret Plot to Murder Lincoln Before the Civil War will be made into a television mini-series by The Weinstein Company. TWC picked up the rights to the historical thriller and Brendan Deneen and Charles Spicer are attached as executive producers.
