What’s the best way to promote a movie about the zombie apocalypse? By yodeling from a NY City rooftop, of course. World War Z star Brad Pitt carried on a yodeling conversation with Late Night host Jimmy Fallon and even attempted the never-before-been-done double yodel. Check it out in this video courtesy of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

And no, I’m not excited about this new animated holiday special because my last name’s Murray…I just happen to be a big fan of animated holiday specials. The newest one is How Murray Saved Christmas, a holiday musical special from Emmy-winner Mike Reiss (The Simpsons). NBC is aiming for a December 2014 air date.
The hour-long special is based on Reiss’ children’s book. Reiss is executive producing the special and Walter Murphy is attached to compose the music. And Murphy has an impressive list of credits including an Oscar nomination for his work on Ted and four Emmy nominations for Family Guy.
“Murray is the perfect project to get audiences into the holiday spirit, and Mike’s impressive comedic background makes him a great choice to put all the pieces together,” said NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke.
The Plot:
The story centers on cranky deli owner Murray Kleiner, who is forced to fill in for Santa one Christmas and does a weirdly wonderful job.
From the writer of Borat and the producers of Bridget Jones’s Diary comes I Give It a Year starring Rose Byrne and Rafe Spall as an (un)happily married couple who seem to be in a doomed relationship, at least according to their friends. Written and directed by Dan Mazer, I Give It a Year will be released by Magnolia Pictures on iTunes/On Demand on July 3, 2013 followed by a theatrical release on August 9, 2013.
The cast also includes Anna Faris, Simon Baker, Stephen Merchant, Minnie Driver, Jason Flemyng, Tim Key, and Olivia Coleman.
The Plot: Since they met at a party, ambitious high-flyer Nat (Rose Byrne) and struggling novelist Josh (Rafe Spall) have been deliriously happy despite their differences. Josh is a thinker, Nat’s a doer, but the spark between them is undeniable.
Their wedding is a dream come true, but no one — family, friends and even the minister who marries them — is convinced that they will last. Josh’s ex-girlfriend, Chloe (Anna Faris), and Nat’s handsome American client Guy (Simon Baker) could offer attractive alternatives.
With their first anniversary approaching, neither wants to be the first to give up, but will they make it?

The world as we know it could come to an end if LEGO characters don’t assemble to take down a major-league bad guy in The LEGO® Movie. Batman, NBA all-stars, Ninja Turtles, and other LEGO characters apparently will all be working together in this 3D animated adventure Warner Bros Pictures is releasing in theaters in 2014.
The Plot:The LEGO Movie, the first-ever, full-length theatrical LEGO® adventure, directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, opens in theaters February 7, 2014. It stars the vocal talents of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, and Alison Brie, with Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.
The original 3D computer-animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.
Chris Pratt stars as the voice of Emmet. Will Ferrell stars as the voice of his primary adversary, President Business, an erudite, anal-retentive CEO who has a hard time balancing world domination with micro-managing his own life; while Liam Neeson voices the president’s powerful henchman, known as Bad Cop, who will stop at nothing to catch Emmet.
Starring as Emmet’s fellow travelers are Oscar® winner Morgan Freeman as Vitruvius, an old mystic; Elizabeth Banks as tough-as-nails Lucy, who mistakes Emmet for the savior of the world and guides him on his quest; Will Arnett as the mysterious Batman, a LEGO minifigure with whom Lucy shares a history; Nick Offerman as a craggy, swaggering pirate obsessed with revenge on President Business; and Alison Brie as a sweet, loveable member of the team, with a powerful secret.
Directors Phil Lord & Christopher Miller (21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) also wrote the screenplay, from a story by Dan Hageman & Kevin Hageman and Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, based on LEGO construction toys. It will incorporate some of the LEGO world’s most popular figures while introducing several new characters, inviting fans who have enjoyed the brand’s innovative toys and hugely popular video games for generations to experience their visually unique LEGO world as never seen before.
