ABC Releases Its Season Finale Dates

ABC just announced the season finale dates for their slate of primetime shows. The alien comedy The Neighbors is first up in saying so long for the season, ending its season one on March 27, 2013.

Hot in Cleveland is Still Hot on TV Land

Hot in Cleveland will be back for a fifth season as announced today by TV Land President Larry W Jones. The comedy series will return for 24 brand new episodes which will mean Hot in Cleveland will be around past its 100th episode.
 
Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White star in the popular series which has been averaging 2.8 million viewers. According to TV Land, new episodes of the show will debut on June 19, 2013 at 10pm with a special live telecast. Filming will begin this fall on season five.
 
“This is an incredible milestone for the show and for TV Land,” said Jones. “To have our first scripted sitcom make it to the syndication level is a huge accomplishment. We have a brilliant creative team both in front of and behind the camera. We are so proud to be on this exciting ride with them.”
 
The Plot:
 
Hot in Cleveland revolves around three fabulous best friends from LA – novelist Melanie Moretti (Valerie Bertinelli), eye-brow archer to the stars Joy Scroggs (Jane Leeves) and former soap star Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick) – who find their lives changed forever when their plane, headed for Paris, makes an unexpected landing. When the friends discover that life is better in Cleveland, they decide to stay. Starting over together, they rent a house that happens to come with a very opinionated caretaker, Elka Ostrovsky (White).

America’s Got Talent Returns in June

America's Got TalentSeason eight of America’s Got Talent will premiere on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 9pm witha special two-hour episode followed on June 10th with a regular hour-long episode. New to this season of the reality competition series are judges Mel B and Heidi Klum who will be joining Howie Mandel and Howard Stern to assess the talent.
 
This upcoming season marks the first time AGT will have a four-judge panel.
 
According to NBC, the live episodes of the show will kick off on Tuesday, July 23rd at 9pm.
 
The Details:
 
AGT returns this summer with the hottest performers from across the country ready to compete in the blockbuster reality show’s new season. The live shows again will originate from the New York Tri-State area. This year, Klum joins the recently announced, high-octane entertainer and former Spice Girl Mel B as the newest judges who take their seats on the experienced and talented judge panel along with the outspoken, unedited radio personality, television host and author Stern and comedian, TV host and producer Mandel. Actor, producer and comedian Nick Cannon returns as host.
 
With the talent search open to acts of all ages, America’s Got Talent has brought the variety format back to the forefront of American culture by showcasing performers from across the country. The series is a true celebration of the American spirit, featuring a colorful array of hopeful stars, including singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists, all vying for their chance to strut and perform on stage hoping to win America’s hearts — and the $1 million prize.

‘Crossing Lines’ Coming to NBC This Summer

NBC has picked up Crossing Lines from producers Tandem Communications and Bernero Productions and will premiere the drama this summer. The action-crime series stars William Fichtner, Donald Sutherland, Marc Lavoine, Gabriella Pession, Tom Wlaschiha, Moon Dailly and Richard Flood, and will air 10 episodes over the summer of 2013.

“We’re making scripted projects a priority for our summer lineup, and this is a great fit,” stated Robert Greenblatt, Chairman of NBC Entertainment. “The special unit of Crossing Lines brings global criminals to justice with the help of the International Criminal Court. We have every reason to believe that our viewers will enjoy these compelling and well-told stories.”

“Fans of procedural crime shows will feel very much at home with Crossing Lines and adopt its team of characters as their new family,” said Edward Allen Bernero, executive producer of Third Watch. “I couldn’t be more pleased to come home to NBC, which recognized the show’s potential.”

The Plot: Set in exotic locations, Crossing Lines taps into the charter of the International Criminal Court to investigate serialized cross-border crimes and to hunt down global criminals.

Two of my favorite actors – James McAvoy and Mark Strong – star in Welcome to the Punch, heading to theaters on March 28, 2013. Throw in David Morrissey (The Walking Dead), Andrea Riseborough, and Peter Mullan, and Welcome to the Punch becomes even more interesting (and more of a must-see).

The Plot:

The second feature from acclaimed British music video director and filmmaker Eran Creevy, Welcome to the Punch is the story of two arch-nemeses: detective Max Lewinsky (James McAvoy) and master criminal Jacob Sternwood (Mark Strong). When Sternwood escaped three years ago after a daring robbery, Max was left emotionally and physically scarred. But after Sternwood’s son turns up in a hospital due to a failed heist, he’s forced to return to London – giving Max his second chance to get the one criminal who got away. Yet as Max delves deeper into the case he uncovers a vast conspiracy.

Ender’s Game star Hailee Steinfeld is joining her co-star Asa Butterfield as one of the recipients of a 2013 CinemaCon award. Just announced by Managing Director Mitch Neuhauser, Steinfeld has been named as the winner of the CinemaCon® Female Star of Tomorrow Award and she’ll be receiving the honor during the Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony on April 18th at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
 
CinemaCon, the largest gathering of motion picture theatre industry members, is set to take place April 15-18th in Vegas.
 
“Having already garnered an Oscar® nomination, not to mention international acclaim for her big screen debut in True Grit, Hailee Steinfeld will continue to show audiences this coming year just how amazing a young actress she is with five new films set to hit theaters,” stated Neuhauser. “Can you imagine working opposite Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Josh Brolin in your very first film and under the direction of Joel and Ethan Coen no less? We cannot think of a more exemplary young actress to be named this year’s ‘CinemaCon Female Star of Tomorrow.'”
 
Steinfeld has Ender’s Game (November 1st), Can a Song Save Your Life?, Hateship, Friendship, Three Days to Kill, and Romeo & Juliet coming out this year.

Game of Thrones New Season 3 Video – “Enemies”

Game of Thrones season three is just two weeks away from its premiere on March 31, 2013, and HBO’s been busy releasing new videos from the much-anticipated upcoming season. This new video highlights the enemies (pretty much everyone in the series has at least one person who wants to kill them) with snippets of scenes featuring Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Richard Madden (Robb Stark), and Jack Gleeson (Joffrey Baratheon).

Keyshia Cole Woman to Woman Tour

Keyshia Cole will be hitting the road on March 28, 2013 for an 18 city tour that will finish up in Oakland on April 21st. The “Woman to Woman” tour was put together as a thank you for fans who helped push her five albums into Billboard’s Top 200 Top 10. And Cole’s new album, Woman to Woman, made it to #2 on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart.

Keyshia Cole will be joined on the tour by singer Chrisette Michele.

‘Teen Wolf’ Stars to Appear at the 2013 WonderCon

MTV’s Teen Wolf cast members Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien will be appearing at the 2013 WonderCon in Anaheim, CA. The stars of MTV’s hit supernatural drama series will participate in a Q&A with fans during a panel on Saturday, March 30th from 6-7pm.

This year marks the first appearance by the Teen Wolf cast at the annual event (formerly held in San Francisco).

Posey, O’Brien, and executive producer Jeff Davis will be showing off never-before-seen Teen Wolf content and discussing the upcoming third season of the series. Season three is set to debut a 24-episode season on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 10pm.

Teen Wolf is a sexy, suspenseful drama about transformation set against the backdrop of contemporary teen life, with a forbidden, romantic love story at its core. In the first season, Scott McCall was an ordinary teenager until one strange night a vicious bite forever changed his life. Season one concluded with Scott caught in the middle of a war between hunters and werewolves, but discovering one last clue allowed him to enlist both friends and a previous enemy in order to stop the mysterious killings and win back Allison, the girl he loves.

Season two begins when a new member of the Argent family arrives in Beacon Hills and Scott and Allison are forced to continue their blossoming romance in secret. At the same time, Derek Hale, obsessed with gaining strength as a new Alpha, begins recruiting for his pack, including newly-bitten Jackson. While Derek’s final goal includes bringing Scott into his fold, the Argents have begun molding Allison into a skilled werewolf hunter.

George Strait and Garth Brooks to Perform on the Academy of Country Music Awards

Academy of Country Music Awards 2013 LogoArtist of the Decade Award winners Garth Brooks and George Strait will be performing together for the first time on the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards to be held in Vegas on April 7, 2013. Brooks and Strait will be part of the tribute to Dick Clark planned for the awards show. Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan are hosting the show which will air on CBS at 8pm ET/PT.
 
In addition, the Academy of Country Music announced the ACM Artist of the Decade Award will be renamed the ACM Dick Clark Artist of the Decade Award. Clark, who passed away in 2012, was a producer of the awards show since 1979.
 
“He was a friend to all of us and helped shape our organization. There’s no doubt the Academy of Country Music wouldn’t be one of the highest-rated and watched awards shows without Dick’s vision and commitment,” commented Bob Romeo, CEO of the Academy of Country Music.
 
“Dick helped make country music accessible to a larger fan base and his efforts will not be forgotten. Garth and I were so grateful when we each received the ACM Artist of the Decade Award, so it’s only fitting that we’ll be honoring him with this tribute performance at the ACMs,” said George Strait.
 
“I commend the Academy on naming the ACM Artist of the Decade Award after Dick Clark. Although there is no award the entertainment industry has that can match the magnitude of the star Dick Clark was, and still is, it is an honor to get to be a part of the Academy’s tribute to him. There may be others who have contributed as much to the music industry, but there is definitely no one that has contributed more than Dick Clark. He was music’s best friend, and a dear friend to me,” said Garth Brooks.
 
Past recipients of the Artist of the Decade Award include Strait, Brooks, Alabama, Loretta Lynn, and Marty Robbins.
 
Also scheduled to perform on the Academy of Country Music Awards are Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum and Little Big Town.
