Dennis Quaid stars as a dad who appears to be bent on buying up farmland at any price, even if it means approaching the families of deceased farmers at funerals. He also doesn’t want his son, played by Zac Efron, to leave the family farming business to pursue his dream of being a race car driver. And then there’s something about bad business deals and people beating each other up.

What’s At Any Price really about, anyway? Here’s the official plot:

In the competitive world of modern agriculture, ambitious HENRY WHIPPLE (Dennis Quaid) wants his rebellious son DEAN (Zac Efron) to help expand his family’s farming empire. However, Dean has his sights set on becoming a professional race car driver. When a high-stakes investigation into their business is exposed, father and son are pushed into an unexpected crisis that threatens the family’s entire livelihood.

Directed and co-written by Ramin Bahrani, the cast also includes Clancy Brown, Heather Graham, Kim Dickens, and Chelcie Ross. Sony Pictures Classics is planning a limited release of At Any Price beginning April 26, 2013.

Pussy Riot – A Punk Prayer focuses on Nadia, Masha, and Katia – three members of the “feminist art collective” Pussy Riot who made international news when they were arrested in Russia for performing a “punk prayer” inside a cathedral. The documentary, which just debuted at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival where it played to a sold-out crowd, had its television broadcast rights picked up by HBO Documentary.

Directors Mike Lerner and Maxim Pozdorovkin were given incredible access to Pussy Riot and were able to examine the real people the news reports always skim over when discussing their imprisonment. In a statement from HBO Documentary, the directors were quoted as saying they are “thrilled to be working with HBO on bringing this important story to the world.”

Lerner and Pozdorovkin also produced the film, with Martin Herring and Havana Marking, Maxyne Franklin, Nick Fraser, Kate Townsend, Nick Quested, and Christina Willoughby executive producing.

The two-part documentary History of The Eagles has landed at Showtime. The network picked up the broadcast rights to the documentary which delves into the history of the rock band. Alex Gibney (Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room) produced the film with the band, and Alison Ellwood directed.

History of The Eagles Part 1 will debut on Showtime on February 15th at 8pm. Part 2 will air on February 16th.

The Details: History of The Eagles is an intimate, meticulously crafted patchwork of rare archival material, concert footage and never-before-seen home movies that explore the evolution and enduring popularity of one of America’s truly defining bands. Part One dedicates two hours to investigating the band’s creation and rise to fame in the 1970s through its breakup in 1980.

More than 25 new interviews were conducted with all current and former band members, as well as with many others who have been closely involved in their history, including Jackson Browne and Linda Ronstadt, seminal artists in the 70s music scene. Additionally, the documentary features previously unreleased home movies and archival footage, including a rare 1977 concert film from the “Hotel California Tour.” Personal photos, video and memorabilia amassed by the Eagles over the course of their career will also be seen for the very first time.

The second installment picks up in the 1980s. Though the Eagles were no longer together, the genre of classic rock had just hit American radio and their songs remained popular long after the split. The documentary reveals the independent struggles the band members faced both personally and professionally while apart. Then, in the early 90s, the band orchestrated a historic reunion tour and triumphantly found its voice again. To this day, the Eagles’ chemistry as a musical group remains legendary.
