Parents will be able to win money for their child’s college education if they can correctly predict what their baby is going to do next on the new game show Bet On Your Baby from ABC. The primetime game show has just been greenlit by the network and could be airing as early as April.
Comedienne Melissa Peterman (Baby Daddy) will be hosting the series. For now, ABC has ordered just eight episodes of the show.
In ABC’s official announcement, Peterman was quoted as saying: “I’m very excited to be hosting Bet On Your Baby. The concept of the show just appealed to me on many levels because, as a mom, I liked the fact that the kids are having fun and being themselves; it’s the parents playing the game. As someone who likes funny, there is no one more naturally hilarious and fun to watch than a toddler. I am thrilled to be working now with both ABC and ABC Family, and I look forward to a long relationship with Electus and 5×5 Media.”
The Details: Every parent thinks they know their baby well, but are they willing to bet on it? Bet On Your Baby will reveal the answer to that question each week in an hour-long program featuring five families with toddlers between the ages of two and three and a half years old. Each family will play a self-contained, individual challenge against the house — meaning they’re only competing against themselves, and not against other babies. At the end of the show, the five families return to play the college round for the chance to win $50,000 toward a college education for their child.

Yes, Mercedes Benz is using sex – in the form of supermodel Kate Upton – to sell their Mercedes Benz-CLA during the 2013 Super Bowl. The new commercial finds Kate in a black tank top and jeans shorts blowing soap bubbles off her hand and supervising a bunch of guys washing the car. Is it an effective video? You be the judge. Frankly, it did nothing for me – but I’m not the targeted demographic.

Luke resolves to forsake life on the road and to provide for his newfound family, taking a job as car mechanic with Robin (Ben Mendelsohn). Robin soon discovers Luke’s special talents, and proposes to partner with him in a string of spectacular bank robberies. But it is only a matter of time before Luke will run up against the law – which comes in the form of Avery Cross (Bradley Cooper).
Avery is an ambitious rookie cop navigating a local police department ruled by the menacingly corrupt detective Deluca (Ray Liotta). Phil, Si, Jase and Willie Robertson from A&E's Duck Dynasty - Photo by Zach DilgardYou’ll be able to keep quacking up with the Duck Dynasty gang as A&E’s premiering season three on February 27, 2013. The series has proved to be a hit for the cable network, drawing in more eyeballs than any other series on A&E. In fact, the 2-hour season two finale had an incredible 6.5 million viewers tune in when it aired on December 5, 2012.
And according to A&E, Duck Dynasty had the honor of being the “top trending TV show” on Facebook last year.
Details on Season 3 of Duck Dynasty:
In the third season premiere episode, the Robertson men prepare for the beginning of duck season. Phil has two rituals that don’t go over well; a date night with Ms. Kay and abstaining from baths. Meanwhile, the guys carry out their tradition of camping out on the land but the group is quickly divided into those who’ll rough it and those who want comfort.
The Robertsons have been busy being America’s favorite big, bearded, camo-clad family. Despite their modest lifestyle and homes in the backwoods, this close-knit family has made a fortune on duck calls by turning a backyard business into a multi-million dollar sporting empire. But for Willie Robertson, the company’s CEO, running a family operation is tough when all your employees live one distraction at a time and find any excuse to leave the warehouse. They may be living the rags-to-riches American dream, but they’re just as busy staying true to their rugged outdoorsman lifestyle and southern roots. Of course, in this household, even the most ordinary family affair is met with a special Robertson twist of downhome practicality and witty sense of humor. Day to day life in the bayou may be mundane for some, but for the Robertsons, every day brings a new adventure.
