Sean Lowe The Bachelor
Sean Lowe - (ABC/KEVIN FOLEY - © 2012 American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. All rights reserved. )
Sean Lowe’s search for the woman of his dreams will begin on January 7, 2013 at 8pm as The Bachelor returns for its 17th edition on ABC. And as the premiere date nears, the network’s revealed the identity of the 25 lovely ladies who’ll be competing for Lowe’s attention.

One ‘mystery woman’ will also enter the competition on the show’s premiere.

Details on Episode #1:

“Sean, 28, the handsome business entrepreneur from Dallas, meets 26 potential soul mates as he begins his exciting search for true love. In the premiere, Episode 1701, Sean prepares for the night of his life as the 26 beautiful bachelorettes, all clamoring to meet him, begin to arrive.

Jackie, a beautiful makeup artist, makes sure Sean will remember her, kissing him emphatically on the cheek. Robyn, an oil field account manager and former cheerleader, falls for the Bachelor right from the start, back flipping out of the limo — but tumbles right on her rear. Kelly, the attractive cruise ship singer, looks to her possible future with Sean and croons an original love song to him. Sexy Ashley P. stuns the Bachelor with her in depth knowledge of the bestselling novel, Fifty Shades of Grey, while pulling a tie out of her cleavage. Lindsay is all ready to walk down the aisle, dressed in a bridal gown, and steals the first real kiss of the night.

Sean shakes up the night when he decides to hand out early roses to women with whom he has an immediate connection. But not all the women are that lucky and wonder how to impress him to get a coveted rose. Sarah reaches out with honesty and sincerity, not afraid to show her vulnerability. But Lindsay decides the best way to handle the situation is to come on strong.

Finally, after Sean’s first rose ceremony, 19 women will remain to compete for his affection and, in the end, his heart.”

Grammy Award-winning singer Rihanna will be executive producing and starring in Style Media’s first competition series, Styled to Rock. The show will give up-and-coming designers a chance to create fashion pieces for celebrities, with the title of “America’s next trendsetting designer” on the line.

The 10-episode series will premiere in 2013.

“Rihanna is a trailblazer, a trendsetter, and the epitome of style. She has a powerful and unique point-of-view that transcends every aspect of pop culture, including fashion, and is a leading creative force,” stated Salaam Coleman Smith, President, of Style Media. “On the heels of our successful network rebrand, Styled to Rock and Style’s new partnership with Rihanna will reinvent the fashion competition genre, fueling our viewers insatiable appetite for all things style.”

“Fashion has always played an integral part in my life and career,” said Rihanna. “I am so excited to partner with Style Network and share my creative insight with these 12 designers and give them this opportunity to showcase their work.”

Casting is now underway.

The Details:

Rihanna will personally select the 12 designers who will compete for the coveted opportunity to dress some of the biggest names in entertainment. To help the designers reach their ultimate artistic potential, Rihanna will enlist the guidance of top experts from the fashion industry to serve as mentors. Each week, challenges will push the designers to their creative limits when they are tasked with styling an A-list star.

Each week’s celebrity guest will determine which designer best achieves their vision – and advances to the next week of competition. Faced with the threat of elimination, the remaining designers must meet with the mentors to discuss where they fell short and ultimately who will be sent home. In the end, one designer will be named the winner of Styled to Rock.

Bravo Greenlights Two New Series

BravoBravo’s picked up two new scripted pilots – Rita and The Joneses – and will begin production on them early next year. Bravo also announced it will debut its first original scripted series in late 2013.

“These pilots give us an opportunity to explore worlds and characters that are distinct from our unscripted programming,” stated Andrew Wang, Vice President of Scripted Development and Production, Bravo. “Yet, both projects feature the memorable storylines and strong, unique characters that our Bravo audience craves.”

More on The Joneses:

The Joneses, from Life Unexpected creator Liz Tigelaar, is a remake of the 2009 Demi Moore and David Duchovny indie drama of the same name. The Joneses follows a seemingly perfect family of four that has just moved to an upscale suburb to start a new life, but have a secret they must keep from friends and neighbors… they aren’t a real family at all.

More on Rita:

Rita is an adaptation of the Danish format of the same name. This edgy, humorous and acerbic family drama follows an outspoken private school teacher who struggles to raise her own three teenage children while dealing with the inane bureaucracy and overprotective parents at her school.

John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John: I Think You Might Like It Video

This music video could quite possibly single-handedly kill Christmas. You’ve got to ask just what were they thinking when they decided to have John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John act like a couple and then pop Travolta’s real-life wife Kelly Preston holding a toddler into the video. And who was responsible for suggesting to Travolta that he have his hair looking as artificially dyed as possible? Inquiring minds would also like to know why Olivia is driving a car at a 1 mile-per-hour pace while singing about how crazy she’s going looking forward to John’s arrival?! Don’t you think she’d want to hurry to the airport to pick him up?

And what’s with the dancing? This video hurts my head and could be the cheesiest music video ever released. Watch at your own risk:

Not Fade Away Soundtrack Features Classic Rock Tunes

Not Fade Away SoundtrackFirst-time feature film director David Chase turned to his The Sopranos cast member Steven Van Zandt to help compile the soundtrack to his ’60s rock ‘n roll movie, Not Fade Away.
