Have you seen the Chanel No. 5 ad starring Brad Pitt? No? Too bad, because in order to truly appreciate SNL‘s four “Brad Pitt Ads” from the October 20, 2012 episode of the show, you really need to watch Pitt’s actual commercial. SNL‘s Taran Killam nails it, playing a Pitt who babbles on about sounding crazy, looking homeless, Taco Bell, dog condoms, and tattoo removal.

‘Jack Reacher’ New Trailer and Poster

Tom Cruise may not have the physical build described by author Lee Child in his bestselling book series, however, he’s proven that he can kick some serious butt in films. In the new trailer for Paramount Pictures’ Jack Reacher, Cruise looks bad-ass and shows off a little of his action skills while filmmaker Werner Herzog plays villain.

The Plot:

From The New York Times bestselling author Lee Child comes one of the most compelling heroes to step from novel to screen – ex-military investigator Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise).

When a gunman takes five lives with six shots, all evidence points to the suspect in custody. On interrogation, the suspect offers up a single note: “Get Jack Reacher!” So begins an extraordinary chase for the truth, pitting Jack Reacher against an unexpected enemy, with a skill for violence and a secret to keep.

Was it Bruno Mars as music guest and host that brought in viewers or the fact audiences wanted to check out SNL‘s take on the current state of the Presidential race? Whatever the reason, the October 20, 2012 episode with Mars pulled in more viewers than any SNL episode since Lindsay Lohan hosted the show back in March.

One of the more popular skits of the night was the episode’s opening bit poking fun at the 2nd Presidential Debate. Even Oscar-winner Tom Hanks, starring in Cloud Atlas which will premiere in theaters October 26th, showed up for a cameo as an undecided voter during the skit.
