Rachael Ray sat down with CNN to discuss Nutrish, her line of dog food products that’s dedicated to raising money for animal rescue. Ray says they’ve given away about $3 million and raised about $4 million, with 100% of the proceeds going to animal rescue groups of all sizes. Asked why a pet food brand, Ray replied, “Because my dog is my child. I do the work for the human kids because I think as Americans we can’t afford the health care costs of the future if our kids are taking cholesterol medicine at age 9.”
Ray’s a dog lover who has a red-nose pitbull and likes to make people aware that “pitbulls are not born evil any more than a human could be born evil.” Her dog food is made to human standards and Ray says it’s a healthy choice for your pets.

Honey Boo Boo Reads from Christopher Walken Movies
Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell and Colin Farrell did their best to tackle lines from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo when asked by a reporter to do so during the Seven Psychopaths press events (watch it here). Now, Honey Boo Boo and her mom, June, are returning the favor by reading Christopher Walken’s lines Balls of Fury, Catch Me If You Can, True Romance, and Pulp Fiction – plus a little SNL cowbells.
What’s next? Walken MC’ing a Toddlers and Tiaras pageant? Actually, that I’d pay to see.

TNT Greenlights a New Frank Darabont Series

Darabont wrote and directed the pilot starring The Walking Dead alum Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey DeMunn. See? There is life after death by zombies on TV.
“This series is an intense, exciting drama that takes viewers back to a truly fascinating time in the history of Los Angeles,” stated Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). “Frank Darabont, Michael De Luca and Elliott Webb have delivered an outstanding opening episode that evokes the time and place in stunning detail. Together with a pitch-perfect ensemble cast and top-notch production crew, they have woven an engrossing tale of heroism in the face of greed and corruption. We’re very excited to be working with such talented storytellers in bringing this project to life.”
The Plot:
This new series tells the true story of a decades-long conflict between the Los Angeles Police Department, under the determined leadership of Police Chief William Parker, and ruthless criminal elements led by Mickey Cohen, a one-time boxer who rose to the top of L.A.’s criminal world. The series is a fast-paced crime drama set in Los Angeles during the 1940s and ’50s. It’s a world of glamorous movie stars, powerful studio heads, returning war heroes, a powerful and corrupt police force and an even more dangerous criminal network determined to make L.A. its West Coast base.
The new drama stars Bernthal as Joe Teague, an ex-Marine now working as an LAPD cop in an era rampant with police corruption. DeMunn plays Det. Hal Morrison, who heads up the LAPD’s new mob squad, with Jeremy Strong as Det. Mike Hendry, Morrison’s second in command. Neal McDonough is Capt. William Parker, Teague’s boss who is determined to weed out corruption and bring down Mickey Cohen. And Milo Ventimiglia plays Ned Stax, who fought alongside Teague during World War II but who now works as a lawyer with connections to the mob.
The cast also includes Ron Rifkin, Pihla Viitala, and Alexa Davalos.

First Look: ‘The Fitzgerald Family Christmas’ with Edward Burns and Connie Britton

I’m assuming after watching this trailer that The Fitzgerald Family Christmas isn’t a fluffy, feel-good family holiday film. With TFFC, Edward Burns returns to the genre of filmmaking from his The Brothers McMullen days, delivering a working-class Irish-American dysfunctional family story set during the holidays.
Aiming for a November 21, 2012 release On Demand followed by a limited release in theaters on December 7, The Fitzgerald Family Christmas stars Burns, Connie Britton, Mike McGlone, Noah Emmerich, Kerry Bishe, and Ed Lauter.
The Plot:
Burns weaves an ensemble story of adult siblings dealing with the desire of their estranged father (Ed Lauter) to return home for Christmas for the first time since he walked out on his family 20 years ago. Family rifts emerge, and like with any family, Christmas brings a mixed bag of complicated emotions and dynamics. Alliances form, old wounds are reopened or glossed over, and the possibility for a new hope and forgiveness emerges.

The unlikely singing duo performed the song during the taping of the Night of Too Many Stars charity special hosted by Jon Stewart and airing on October 21, 2012 at 8pm.
The event supports autism programs and features appearances by Katy Perry, Bob Saget, Jerry Seinfeld, Dane Cook, Bill Hader, Tom Hanks, Jason Jones, Hoda Kotb, Seth Meyers, John Oliver, Al Pacino, Lara Spencer, Kenan Thompson, Allison Williams, and Wendy Williams.
The trailer for I Will Follow You Into the Dark, a supernatural romance, has arrived. Debuting at the Hollywood Film Festival, the thriller was written and directed by Mark Edwin Robinson and stars Mischa Barton, Leah Pipes, Ryan Eggold, and John Rubinstein.
