It’s where Dracula was born and now it could be yours. Profiles in History will be auctioning off Bram Stoker’s writing desk as part of the Hollywood Auction on December 15 and 16, 2012. According to Profiles in History, Stoker gave the desk to his friend, Yorkshire Post editor JSR Phillips. Phillips and subsequent owners didn’t take good care of the desk, allowing the legs to be sawn short and losing some of the drawers. Stoker’s desk eventually made its way to master furniture artist Mark Brazier-Jones to preserve and restore it.
