E! Announces ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ Series

The British group The Saturdays is set to star in E!’s new series, Chasing The Saturdays. Premiering on January 20, 2013, Chasing The Saturdays follows the five women of The Saturdays as they come to LA and start work on their upcoming album.

Each of the 30-minute episodes will focus on the singers as they settle into life in Los Angeles. Says E! President Suzanne Kolb: “The Saturdays are a pop phenomenon with magnetic appeal and tremendous talent, and we are excited to capture their next chapter as they win over the hearts and playlists of America. Chasing The Saturdays is a perfect addition to E!’s popular Sunday night reality block, which continues to deliver can’t-miss original programming to viewers year-round.”

The Saturdays have had 11 Top 10 singles in the UK and three Top 10 albums.

Mollie King is a princess and maybe the most fashion-conscious of the group. She also has a very active – and closely followed – dating life;

Rochelle Humes was in the group S Club Juniors with Frankie. She is a newlywed, married to Marvin Humes, a member of the boy band JLS;

Frankie Sandford, formerly in the group S Club Juniors, has been romantically linked to Manchester City soccer star Wayne Bridge;

Vanessa White is the youngest member of The Saturdays and the party girl of the group;

Una Healy is the only one in the band who’s not a native Londoner – she’s Irish. And she recently married England national rugby union player, Ben Foden, and is a new mother.

“Snatch. Eat. Erase.” – In this new clip from the November 1, 2012 episode of The Vampire Diaries, Damon explains why he’s taking Elena (Nina Dobrev) to college. The Salvatore brothers also try and figure out what the mysterious group “The Five” is and what exactly vampire hunter Connor (Todd Williams) was carrying around in his box of vampire-hunting supplies.
 
And being Damon (Ian Somerhalder), of course he has to ask his Stefan (Paul Wesley) if he’s still mad Elena fed on him.
 
The Plot of “The Five:”
 
Damon goes with Elena and Bonnie to visit Whitmore College, where Professor Shane (guest star David Alpay) is taking over the Occult Studies classes formerly taught by Bonnie’s grandmother. At a fraternity costume party, Damon takes advantage of the wild scene to give Elena a lesson in choosing a victim. Rebekah’s attempt to buy Matt’s forgiveness falls flat, but she is intrigued by unexpected news from Klaus. When Stefan questions Klaus about Connor’s (guest star Todd Williams) motives, Klaus reveals a long-ago encounter with a powerful group of vampire hunters, but it’s Rebekah who delivers the information that stuns Stefan.

Hansel and Gretel are all grown up and they HATE witches. The only good witch is a dead witch according to the siblings, and in this new restricted trailer (due to blood, guts and gore) we get to see just how they go about killing every witch they can find.

Starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton and directed by Tommy Wirkola, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters will be arriving in theaters on January 25, 2013 (pushed back from a 2012 release).

Green Day Cancel Their Upcoming Tour Dates

Green Day Uno Dos TresThis should come as no surprise to Green Day fans, but now the group has made it official: All of their upcoming concerts have been canceled as they allow Billie Joe Armstrong time to complete rehab and get back on his feet. Green Day also announced they’ll be rescheduling their January and February 2013 appearances, pushing them back rather than completely canceling the shows.
 
Tickets for the canceled dates will be refunded where they were purchased. Tickets for the postponed shows will be honored on the new dates.
 
“Obviously the timing for this isn’t ideal, but Billie Joe’s well-being is our main concern,” stated Mike Dirnt in the press release. “We are happy to say that Billie Joe is doing well, and we want to thank you all for the outpouring of support and well wishes that we have received, and we can’t wait to see you all again soon.”
 
And because they had to cancel their shows, Green Day has decided to move up the release of ¡Tré! from January 15, 2013 to December 11, 2012.
 
“We feel bad we have to delay our tour, so to make up for it we want to give our fans the music earlier than we had planned,” said Tré Cool. “If we couldn’t be there to play it for you live, the least we could do was give you the next best thing.”

Taylor Swift Will Co-Host The Grammy Nominations Concert Live

Taylor Swift has been tapped to co-host the The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night along with returning host LL Cool J. The two will be hosting the music-filled event on December 5, 2012 from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. CBS will broadcast the special at 10pm ET/PT.
 
Also just announced: Luke Bryan will perform on the one-hour telecast, joining previously announced performer Maroon 5. More performers and presenters will be announced in the coming days.
 
The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! will feature the reveal of nominees in select Grammy award categories as well as performances by numerous musical acts. Tickets for The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! are on sale now and are available online at www.ticketmaster.com.
 
LL Cool J has hosted the show since its inception in 2008. Swift will be making her second turn as show co-host with the 2012 event.

Chesney won’t just be performing during the Cowboys versus Redskins halftime on November 22, 2013 but will also be kicking off the 122nd Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. Since its inception, the Red Kettle Campaign has raised over $1.5 billion.

‘Flight’ Preview: Plot Details, Cast, and Trailer

Denzel Washington and Don Cheadle star in the dramatic thriller Flight directed by Robert Zemeckis. Paramount Pictures is set to release the R-rated drama in theaters on November 2, 2012.

Denzel Washington stars as Whip Whitaker, Don Cheadle plays Hugh Lang, Nadine Velazquez is Katerina Marquez, John Goodman is Harling Mays, and Tamara Tunie is Margaret Thomason. The cast also includes Brian Geraghty, Kelly Reilly, Conor O’Neill, Bruce Greenwood, Ravi Kapoor, and James Badge Dale.

Official Synopsis: In this action-packed mystery thriller, Academy Award winner Denzel Washington stars as Whip Whitaker, a seasoned airline pilot, who miraculously crash lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly every soul on board. After the crash, Whip is hailed as a hero, but as more is learned, more questions than answers arise as to who or what was really at fault and what really happened on that plane?

Get Ready for More Burning Love

Burning Love PosterThe internet series Burning Love will return for season two and three, according to an announcement made jointly by Paramount’s Insurge Pictures and Yahoo!. The web series which pokes fun at reality TV dating shows was written by Erica Oyama (Childrens’ Hospital) and directed by Ken Marino. Marino also starred as the show’s firefighter bachelor who had his pick of ‘lovely’ ladies to choose from in season 1.

“At Yahoo!, we program based on insights about what our users want to watch,” stated Erin McPherson, VP and Head of Video at Yahoo!. “We knew we found a hit with Burning Love given the caliber of the talent and the subject matter—and it was proven shortly after the launch with all the binge viewing that took place. We’re excited to offer two more seasons of it to our audience.”

“The success of Burning Love is a testament to the unparalleled creative team that delivered a truly hilarious series and set a new bar for original digital entertainment,” added Amy Powell, President of Insurge Pictures and EVP of Interactive Theatrical Marketing for Paramount Pictures. “Yahoo! did a tremendous job of getting the series in front of their audience, and we are thrilled to be working with them to bring the next two seasons to fans.”

The Details:

The first season of Burning Love followed fireman Mark Orlando (Marino) in his search for the perfect woman to marry or at least be engaged. Burning Love featured an impressive line up of comedic actors from film and television including Marino, Ben Stiller, Malin Akerman, Kristen Bell, Michael Ian Black, Ken Jeong, Adam Scott, Abigail Spencer, Natasha Leggero, June Diane Raphael, Noureen DeWulf, Janet Varney, Kerri Kenney Silver, Paul Scheer, Beth Dover, and many more.

The next two installments of Burning Love will also be written by Erica Oyama and directed by Ken Marino and feature some returning cast including Ken Marino, June Diane Raphael and Natasha Leggero as well as new characters in their quest to find true love.

Season 2 follows Julie (June Diane Raphael), who failed to capture Mark Orlando’s heart in Season 1 of Burning Love, as she searches for love in a group of guys who are hopefully all there for the right reasons.

Season 3 Burning Down The House reunites our favorite rejected guys and girls as they return to the Burning Love mansion to compete for a hefty prize and for each other’s affection.

Showtime Debuts a Reality Show

Ready for another reality show? Showtime hopes you are, however, the reality show they’re bringing you is one with a twist. Reality Show, an 8-episode miniseries, is set to debut on November 1, 2012 at 11:30pm (ET/PT) and is described as “darkly satirical” – a description not often associated with a reality series.

Adam Rifkin (Mousehunt, Underdog) wrote, directs, executive produces, and stars in the miniseries. The cast also includes Scott Anderson and Kelly Menighan Hensley.

The Plot:

Reality Show follows Mickey Wagner (Adam Rifkin), a down-on-his-luck reality show producer, as he crafts a sensational comeback. Fed up with how staged and phony reality shows are, Mickey hatches a revolutionary idea to pick an average American family and put them under all-encompassing surveillance…without the family’s knowledge.

The concept is to let real life unfold before the cameras. However, the family is numbingly boring. And the studio wants more sizzle. So Mickey starts to introduce drama into the unwitting family’s lives. Temptation to cheat, drinking, work problems…. chaos ensues. Everything unravels in a big, big way with shocking consequences.
