Journey’s lead guitarist Neal Schon (the only member on all of Journey’s albums) released his latest solo album, The Calling, today. Frontier Records is releasing the solo effort which was produced by Schon and features the Journey musician on guitar and bass.
The Calling also features his former Journey band mate, Steve Smith, on the drums on all 12 tracks. Jan Hammer lent his talents to two synthesizer solos and Igor Len plays the acoustic piano throughout the album.
The Calling was recorded at Berkeley’s Fantasy Studios while Schon was on a break from touring with Journey. The album was completed in just four days.

Ellie Goulding Winter 2013 Tour Dates
Ellie Goulding will be touring North America in early 2013, kicking off the Halcyon Days Tour on January 16th in Miami. Additional cities on the tour include Boston, Denver, and Seattle, with the tour wrapping up on February 12th in Los Angeles.
The tour is in support of Goulding’s sophomore album, Halcyon, which entered the Billboard 200 in the top 10 and made it to #2 on the U.K. album chart.

‘Jack Reacher’ New Trailer and Poster
Tom Cruise may not have the physical build described by author Lee Child in his bestselling book series, however, he’s proven that he can kick some serious butt in films. In the new trailer for Paramount Pictures’ Jack Reacher, Cruise looks bad-ass and shows off a little of his action skills while filmmaker Werner Herzog plays villain.
The Plot:
From The New York Times bestselling author Lee Child comes one of the most compelling heroes to step from novel to screen – ex-military investigator Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise).
When a gunman takes five lives with six shots, all evidence points to the suspect in custody. On interrogation, the suspect offers up a single note: “Get Jack Reacher!” So begins an extraordinary chase for the truth, pitting Jack Reacher against an unexpected enemy, with a skill for violence and a secret to keep.

Adele Welcomes a Baby Boy
Adele, who did an excellent job keeping her pregnancy pretty much out of the news, has given birth to a baby boy according to a report by US Weekly. The magazine’s sources say the Grammy-winning singer’s first child is healthy and that mom and baby are doing fine.
According to US Weekly’s source, the new addition to her family will have a “big impact” on her songwriting.
The baby boy makes #2 for Adele’s boyfriend, Simon Konecki.

SNL Video: 2nd Presidential Debate

One of the more popular skits of the night was the episode’s opening bit poking fun at the 2nd Presidential Debate. Even Oscar-winner Tom Hanks, starring in Cloud Atlas which will premiere in theaters October 26th, showed up for a cameo as an undecided voter during the skit.

First Look: Iron Man 3 Teaser Trailer
Days before the first real trailer will debut, Marvel and Disney have put out a very short teaser trailer for Iron Man 3 starring Robert Downey Jr, Don Cheadle and Gwyneth Paltrow. Set to hit theaters on May 3, 2013, Iron Man 3 also features Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, and Jon Favreau.
The Plot:
“Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. Homeland Season 2 Episode 4 Preview
How is it possible that each episode of Homeland surpasses expectations while keeping viewers on the edge of their seats? Season two is incredibly intense, and episode four promises even more thrills.
The Plot:

Jim Sturgess Talks Cloud Atlas

In this video courtesy of Warner Bros Pictures, Sturgess discussed the make-up process and how it helped him get into the many characters. He also chatted about the appeal of Cloud Atlas, working with the Wachowskis, his character’s journey, seeing Tom Hanks in full make-up, and what the story actually means.

Taylor Swift Will Kick Off Her Red Tour on GMA

Good Morning America will be the launching pad for Taylor Swift’s Red publicity tour in support of her new album. GMA also announced Swift will debut her new song, “Begin Again,” on The 46th Annual CMA Awards.
Per the official announcment: “On Monday, October 22, Swift will appear live on Good Morning America to discuss Red, and on Tuesday, October 23, she will dazzle fans in a live performance of the songs from the album at an exclusive GMA fall concert event.”
Swift’s nominated for three CMA Awards this year: Musical Event of the Year with The Civil Wars for “Safe & Sound,” Female Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.
