Nicky Deuce - Book Cover Art-Delacorte Books for Young ReadersIt’s not exactly a sequel – or even a prequel – but Nicky Deuce is a project that’s managed to reunite The Sopranos cast. The Sopranos’ Steve Schirripa, Michael Imperioli, Vincent Curatola and Tony Siricoit will be joining iCarly‘s Noah Munck and Rita Moreno for the Nickelodeon original kids movie.
Schirripa (‘Bobby Baccalieri’ on The Sopranos) and Charles Fleming adapted their childrens’ book for the small screen, with filming currently underway in Montreal. Nickelodeon’s aiming for a 2013 premiere.
“Nicky Deuce is a comedic coming-of-age story that is uniquely Nickelodeon,” said Marjorie Cohn, President, Original Programming and Development, Nickelodeon Group. “Kids will love seeing Noah Munck in this new light – as culture-shocked Nicky who goes from mathlete to unlikely urban legend on the streets of Bensonhurst. The Plot:
Munck stars in Nicky Deuce as Nicholas Borelli II, a nerdy, over-protected teen who transforms into the title character. Nicholas gets caught in the adventure of a lifetime when his plans to attend math camp go awry and he is sent to spend the summer with an uncle (played by Schirripa) he never knew he had in Brooklyn, NY. A fish out of water at first, Nicholas leans on local kids to help him fit in and winds up mistakenly earning a reputation as a tough guy. When confronted with some questionable dealings, Nicky uncovers family secrets and learns that the mean streets of Brooklyn aren’t always what they seem.

Edge (aka Adam Copeland) will be back for multiple episodes on the third season of Haven. The WWE superstar is returning to the Syfy series with the season three premiere episode on September 21, 2012.
Edge is back playing ‘Dwight Hendrickson,’ a character described as “a shrewd, longtime Haven resident and ‘troubled’ handyman who can truly handle anything, and often does, as the town’s ‘Cleaner.’ A close ally of Nathan’s (Lucas Bryant), Dwight helps to cover up all of the town’s supernatural goings on and to keep Haven’s secrets hidden.”
Also guest starring on Haven‘s season three are Iain Glen, Bree Williamson, Dorian Missick, Kate Kelton, Nolan North, and Claudia Black.
The Plot:
Season three of Haven picks up immediately following the events of the gripping season two finale with Audrey having been brutally kidnapped; Nathan warned against pursuing a romantic relationship with Audrey; and Duke (Eric Balfour) seemingly engaged in a fight to the death with Nathan after he discovers his family lineage is to kill Haven citizens with troubles.

The audience will be provided with a behind-the-scenes look at the rehab process as the show focuses on Dr. Drew and his patients as the patients face the emotionally and physically challenging road to sobriety. “Addiction is a disease that doesn’t limit itself to celebrities but reaches across all economic, social and racial boundaries with lasting and profound effects of not only of the patients but also their families, friends and co-workers. Rehabilitation and sobriety on the other hand are an arduous lifelong journey,” said Dr. Drew.
Counselor Bob Forrest, resident technician Shelly Sprague, and resident technician Jennifer Gimenez are returning to the show as is Dr. John R. Sharp, M.D, faculty member at Harvard Medical School and the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles.
In support of their first album, Officially Miss Guided, coming to stores this fall, OMG Girlz will be hitting the road again as part of the SCREAM Tour Next Generation PT 2. Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” is just too irresistible for Olympic athletes, Sesame Street characters, pop singers, and college baseball teams to leave alone. And now Sony Pictures Animation’s getting in on the “Call Me Maybe” craze with a “Call Me Mavy” video in support of their upcoming animated feature film, Hotel Transylvania.
Sung by Traci L., “Call Me Mavy” features the teen vampire from the animated comedy falling for a human boy, much to the disappointment of her dad, Dracula.
Hotel Transylvania was directed by Genndy Tartakovsky and features the voices of Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, David Spade, and CeeLo Green.

Lionsgate’s picked up the option and will be creating a new drama based on Jake Steinfeld and Dave Morrow’s book about the creation of the first professional outdoor lacrosse league.

The as yet untitled series has already been given a 22 episode order by the network, with Fox set to star in the show that will follow a “father of three dealing with family, career, and challenges.”
The series will begin shooting this fall and will air in 2013.

The eighth season of Ghost Hunters – and the first without investigator Grant Wilson – kicks off on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 9pm. Wilson left the Ghost Hunters team in May 2012 after seven seasons as one of the lead investigators for The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), but the remainder of the team will be carrying on without him.
Season 8 consists of 14 new episodes, kicking off with a series of ‘Southern-Spirits’ themed shows. The first stop is in Charleston, South Carolina (Charleston won the America’s Hometown Ghost Hunt contest).
