Open Road Films has released a new red-band trailer (that means it’s restricted and you probably shouldn’t watch it at work) for End of Watch, the action thriller directed by David Ayer and set in the world of LA cops. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Pena, Anna Kendrick, Natalie Martinez, Frank Grillo, America Ferrera, and David Harbour, End of Watch hits theaters on September 21, 2012.
The Plot:
Gyllenhaal and Peña star as young Los Angeles police officers Taylor and Zavala as they patrol the city’s meanest streets of south central Los Angeles. The film creates a riveting portrait of the city’s most dangerous corners, the cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay.

Robert Pattinson Video: The Daily Show
Robert Pattinson’s on the road doing press for his new film Cosmopolis and he stopped by The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Monday, August 13th to talk about that film. This is Rob’s first round of interviews following his break-up with Kristen Stewart, and Jon Stewart offered him some Ben & Jerry’s and said they were just going to chat like girls and commiserate over their relationship troubles.
Asked Stewart, “So what are we doing here? Are you all right? Is everything okay? I’m worried about you, and you are all right?”
And Pattinson, who said he didn’t want to eat the ice cream for fear of splitting his Spanx, continued to be worried about the little container. In response, Pattinson replied, “I literally don’t even know how to approach this now,” but then he moved on to the interview question.
“This is the weird thing about these interviews. Now I’m going to sound like an idiot. My biggest problem in my life is I’m cheap and I didn’t hire a publicist. And every awkward interview…you know, normally actors get these things scripted…”
“I’m going to hire a publicist,” says Pattinson.

Frank Ocean Cancels Tour Plans

Frank Ocean has canceled his upcoming concerts, including tour dates with Coldplay as well as his scheduled festival performances. And he also cut short his performance at Norway’s 2012 Oya Festival citing vocal problems after performing just four songs.
According to a report from The Music.com-au, Ocean had been 15 minutes late to start his set on the main stage at the Oya Festival but then sounded good through four songs. “[…] the set was just hitting its stride when, suddenly, he disappeared off stage. Moments later something was announced in Norwegian. Turns out the disembodied voice was saying that Ocean had lost his voice and would not be returning to the stage,” reports The Music. “A disappointing outcome considering all seemed to be shaping up excellently at the time.”
Ocean then issued a statement via Way Out West festival organizers announcing the cancellations:
From Frank Ocean:
“Lem me start by saying I feel like an a**hole right now. But a tough decision had to be made in regard to my schedule over the next months and the casualities of that decision include my appearances at upcoming festivals in Europe and my opening slot on the European leg of the Coldplay World Tour. Sorry as f*ck. I’ll be back if you’ll have me.'”
Meanwhile, the Way Out West festival people had this to say:
“Frank Ocean has just informed us that he will be unable to perform this evening at Way Out West. Both Frank Ocean and we hoped hoped for the best, but unfortunately he will not be performing. The good news is that Looptroop Rockers will be filling in and performing an exclusive gig at Way Out West. They have graced festival stages all over Europe this summer and now they’re coming to Gothenburg and WOW!”
Alanis Morissette 2012 Tour Dates Announced
Alanis Morissette’s new album, Havoc and Bright Lights, drops on August 28, 2012 and in support of its release the Grammy-winner is hitting the road for a North American tour. The Guardian Angel Tour 2012 begins in Montclair, New Jersey on August 25th and wraps up on November 1st in Phoenix, Arizona.
According to the tour announcement, Morissette will be singing songs off her new album as well as songs from throughout her 17 year career.
“The songs from the last 17 years are blending together like great friends. Thankfully, there is a timelessness in their content and passion, for me! The show covers the gamut of every chord choice and every emotion I have ever felt. I am spent afterwards, happily so. I am thrilled to be able to play and tour with my family, blending my personal and artistic fulfillment into one sweaty, feisty, expressed, communal traveling circus!” said Morissette. “I look forward to connecting with everyone face to face, as well as through the many social networks of this exciting new climate.”
