NSYNC Reunites for “Better Place” from ‘Trolls Band Together’

Everyone – including Taylor Swift – wanted to know if NSYNC was putting out new music after the group reunited to present the best pop award to Swift at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. And now we have an answer. “Better Place,” the boy band’s first new song together in 20 years, will be featured in DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls Band Together.

The new trailer provides fans with a sampling of the song, with RCA Records set to release the single on September 29, 2023.

Trolls Band Together stars Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake, reprising their voice roles as Poppy and Branch. Also returning to the world of goofy-haired dolls are Zooey Deschanel as Bridget, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Gristle, Grammy winner Anderson .Paak as Prince D, Ron Funches as Cooper, and Kunal Nayyar as Guy Diamond. The Plot, Courtesy of Dreamworks Animation:

After two films of true friendship and relentless flirting, Poppy (Kendrick) and Branch (Timberlake) are now officially, finally, a couple (#broppy)! He was once part of her favorite boyband phenomenon, BroZone, with his four brothers: Floyd (Golden Globe nominated electropop sensation Troye Sivan), John Dory (Eric André;), Spruce (Grammy winner Daveed Diggs) and Clay (Grammy winner Kid Cudi). BroZone disbanded when Branch was still a baby, as did the family, and Branch hasn’t seen his brothers since.

But when Branch’s bro Floyd is kidnapped for his musical talents by a pair of nefarious pop-star villains — Velvet (Emmy winner Amy Schumer) and Veneer (Grammy winner and Tony nominee Andrew Rannells) — Branch and Poppy embark on a harrowing and emotional journey to reunite the other brothers and rescue Floyd from a fate even worse than pop-culture obscurity.

Featuring Trolls’ signature psychedelic joy-bomb of new and classic pop hits, Trolls Band Together stars a dazzling cast of musical superstars and comedic powerhouses as new franchise characters, including four-time Grammy nominee and Latin Grammy winner Camila Cabello as Viva; Zosia Mamet as Crimp; and 12-time Emmy winning drag icon RuPaul Charles as Miss Maxine.

The Plot, Courtesy of Apple TV+:

For All Mankind explores what would have happened if the global space race had never ended. The series presents an aspirational world where NASA astronauts, engineers and their families find themselves in the center of extraordinary events seen through the prism of an alternate history timeline — a world in which the USSR beats the US to the moon.

The propulsive third season of the alternate-reality series takes viewers to a new decade, moving into the early ‘90s with a high-octane race to a new planetary frontier: MARS. The Red Planet becomes the new front in the Space Race not only for the U.S. and the Soviet Union, but also an unexpected new entrant with a lot to prove and even more at stake. Our characters find themselves going head-to-head as their ambitions for Mars come into conflict and their loyalties are tested, creating a pressure cooker that builds to a climactic conclusion.

Rocketing into the new millennium in the eight years since season three, Happy Valley has rapidly expanded its footprint on Mars by turning former foes into partners. Now 2003, the focus of the space program has turned to the capture and mining of extremely valuable, mineral-rich asteroids that could change the future of both Earth and Mars. But simmering tensions between the residents of the now-sprawling international base threaten to undo everything they are working towards.

After trying to murder her family with an ax in season one, the trailer for Starz’s Shining Vale season two reveals that Pat (Courteney Cox) thinks she might be all better now after going through extensive electroshock therapy. However, the trailer goes on to confirm that Pat’s actually not fine now and believes her psychosis has infected her family.

And speaking of Pat’s family…they don’t seem ready or willing to embrace her return.

Starz’s description of the new season explains that “when she returns home, she meets a mysterious woman who introduces her to a host of ancient remedies used to ‘cure’ women of depression, including the apocryphal Smile Masks. Season two explores what’s in store for the Phelps family as they continue to be haunted by ghosts while Pat struggles to live with mental illness among a broken family, battling demons both internally…and externally.”

Season two kicks off four months later, when Pat’s insurance runs out and she is released from the psychiatric hospital early. Pat returns home, determined to pick up the pieces of her broken family, but she quickly finds out her children don’t need her, Terry doesn’t remember her and to make matters worse, Pat’s new neighbor Ruth looks exactly like Rosemary. CBS’s 48 Hours begins its 36th season with an episode that focuses on the Gilgo Beach killings and alleged murderer Rex Heuermann. Season 36 episode one airs on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT and includes an exclusive interview with someone who worked with Heuermann at his company, RH Consultants & Associates.

Correspondent Erin Moriarty, who knows the Gilgo Beach case well after covering it for over a dozen years, spoke with Muriel Henriquez about her knowledge of Heuermann. In the interview featured on the season 36 opener, Henriquez confesses to being disturbed by Heuermann’s tracking skills.

Henriquez recalled an instance when she told Heuermann she was taking a cruise to celebrate her birthday. When he asked where she was going, Henriquez told him, “I’m going to be in the middle of the ocean, and you’re not going to find me in the middle of the ocean.” Heuermann assured her that he could find her, and on the second day of her cruise, she discovered he was telling the truth.

“There was a white envelope under my door … It was a note from [Heuermann]. The note said, ‘I told you I could find you anywhere,'” said Henriquez.

Episode two of the new season will air immediately following the season premiere at 10pm ET/PT. “The Night of the Idaho Student Murders” examines new information about the case against Bryan Kohberger for the murders of four University of Idaho students – Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin.

Peter Van Sant spoke with Kaylee’s parents Steve and Kristi Goncalves who believe Kohberger knew when people were going to be coming and going in the house. “I think he at least had opened that door, went in, tested the waters, looked around,” said Kristi Goncalves in the 48 Hours interview.

Kohberger is currently being held at the Latah County Jail in Moscow, Idaho. His trial was originally set for October 2, 2023, however the judge agreed to postpone it after Kohberger waived his right to a speedy trial.
