‘Pet Sematary: Bloodlines’ Trailer Reveals Jud’s Backstory

Paramount+’s official trailer for the Pet Sematary prequel, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, teases more details of Jud Crandall’s backstory. In the prequel, Jud – played by Fred Gwynne in the original film adaptation of Stephen King’s novel – unwittingly discovers secrets about the town’s terrifying past and learns firsthand that what’s dead should remain dead.

The prequel stars Jackson White (Tell Me Lies), Forrest Goodluck (the upcoming Lawmen: Bass Reeves), Jack Mulhern (Mare of Easttown), Henry Thomas (The Fall of the House of Usher), and Natalie Alyn Lind (The Gifted). Additionally, Isabella Star LaBlanc (True Detective: Night Country), Samantha Mathis (Billions), Pam Grier (Jackie Brown), and David Duchovny (The X-Files) star in the original horror film based on Stephen King’s bestselling book.

Lindsey Anderson Beer makes her directorial debut with the prequel and co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Buhler. The film’s produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian in Association with Paramount Pictures’ Players Label.

After a world premiere screening at Fantastic Fest, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines will stream on Paramount+ beginning Friday, October 6, 2023.

Lil Rel Howery (Vacation Friends), Ludacris (the Fast & Furious franchise), and Teyonah Parris (WandaVision) will be helping to ring in the holidays with Dashing Through the Snow. The Disney+ original holiday comedy unveiled a batch of photos super early, considering it’s not even October and Halloween decorations are currently taking up space on store shelves.

Joining the trio for some holiday fun are Mary Lynn Rajskub, Ravi V. Patel, Gina Brillon, Kevin Connolly, and Zulay Henao. Tim Story (Ride Along 1 & 2) directed from a screenplay by Scott Rosenberg, with John Jacobs and Will Packer producing. Story, Johanna Byer, Ross Fanger, and Zac Unterman executive produce.

Disney+ offers this synopsis of the holiday comedy:

“Eddie Garrick (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges) is a good-hearted man who has turned his back on Christmas due to a traumatic childhood experience. At the request of his wife Allison Garrick (Teyonah Parris), from whom he is separated, Eddie takes his 9-year-old daughter Charlotte (Madison Skye Validum) to work with him on Christmas Eve, where they meet a mysterious man in a red suit named Nick (Lil Rel Howery). Eddie, who is a social worker, thinks the man is delusional and needs professional help, but when he evokes the wrath of a local politician (Oscar Nuñez), he and his daughter are taken on a magical adventure that just might restore his faith in Christmas.”

Dashing Through the Snow will premiere on Disney+ on November 17, 2023.

‘Reptile’ Film Clip Shows Benicio Del Toro Tracking a Killer

This minute-long clip from Netflix’s Reptile is short on dialogue but incredibly intense. The scene focuses on Benicio Del Toro chasing a shooter who’s attempting to take out the cops pursuing him.

In addition to Benicio Del Toro, the neo-noir crime thriller stars Justin Timberlake, Alicia Silverstone, Frances Fisher, and Ato Essandoh. Eric Bogosian, Domenick Lombardozzi, Michael Carmen Pitt, Karl Glusman, and Matilda Lutz also star.

Del Toro was also busy behind the scenes, co-writing the screenplay with director Grant Singer and Benjamin Brewer. Molly Smith, Trent Luckinbill, and Thad Luckinbill produced, and Del Toro, Rick Yorn, and Rachel Smith executive produced.

Reptile was originally scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 3, 2023, but has moved up a bit and will play in select theaters on September 22nd. It will debut on Netflix on September 29, 2023.

Netflix released this description of the plot:

“Following the brutal murder of a young real estate agent, a hardened detective attempts to uncover the truth in a case where nothing is as it seems, and by doing so dismantles the illusions in his own life.”

‘Sex Education’ Season 4 Trailer Spotlights Otis and Maeve

The fourth and, unfortunately, final season of Netflix’s Sex Education promises to be an emotional roller coaster ride, filled with love, laughter, and tears. The streaming service just debuted the final season’s trailer along with a (justified) warning to get your tissues ready.

Asa Butterfield and Gillian Anderson return to lead a cast that includes Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, and Mimi Keene. The talented ensemble also includes George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Dua Saleh, Alistair Petrie, Samantha Spiro, Jim Howick, Rakhee Thakrar, and Daniel Ings.

Joining the cast for the fourth and final season are Emmy award-winner Dan Levy, Hannah Gadsby, Thaddea Graham, Lisa McGrillis, Marie Reuther, Jodie Turner Smith, Eshaan Akbar, Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa, Alexandra James, Reda Elazouar, Bella Maclean, and Imani Yahshua.

Sex Education season four premieres on September 21, 2023, with the series finale expanded to 83 minutes.

The award-winning coming-of-age comedy drama was created by Laurie Nunn who serves as lead writer and executive producer. Discussing the upcoming season, Nunn stated, “We are incredibly proud of Sex Education and feel indebted to our brilliant writers, cast and crew who put so much heart into making every episode. They have worked tirelessly to bring you the final series, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”

Season four writers include Troy Hunter, Krishna Istha, Selina Lim, Ethan Harvey, Annalisa Dinnella, Bella Heesom, and Thara Popoola. Dominic Leclerc, Michelle Savill, and Alyssa McClelland directed, and Laurie Nunn, Jamie Campbell, Ben Taylor, and lare Couchman served as executive producers.

Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric now face a new frontier – their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, whilst Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students – they thought they were progressive but this new college is another level. There’s daily yoga in the communal garden, a strong sustainability vibe and a group of kids who are popular for being… kind?!

Viv is totally thrown by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach, while Jackson is still struggling to get over Cal. Aimee tries something new by taking an Art A-Level, and Adam grapples with whether mainstream education is for him. Over in the US, Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis is pining after her, whilst adjusting to not being an only child at home, or the only therapist on campus…




‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ Unleashes a Creepy Trailer

The trailer for Netflix’s The Fall of the House of Usher is as weird, twisted, and bizarre as you’d expect from a limited series created by Mike Flanagan. Based on Edgar Allan Poe’s short story, The Fall of the House of Usher arrives on Netflix on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

Bruce Greenwood and Mary McDonnell star as Roderick and Madeline Usher. The cast includes Carla Gugino, Carl Lumbly, Mark Hamill, Michael Trucco, T’Nia Miller, Paola Nuñez, and Henry Thomas. Kyleigh Curran, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, Kate Siegel, Sauriyan Sapkota, Zach Gilford, and Willa Fitzgerald also star.

Additionally, Katie Parker, Malcolm Goodwin, Crystal Balint, Aya Furukawa, Daniel Jun, Matt Biedel, Ruth Codd, Annabeth Gish, Igby Rigney, and Robert Longstreet star in the much-anticipated limited series.

Mike Flanagan, the creative mind behind Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, and The Midnight Club, directed four episodes of the limited series. Michael Fimognari executive produced and directed the other four episodes of the eight-episode series. Intrepid Pictures’ Flanagan and Trevor Macy executive produced along with Emmy Grinwis.

‘Totally Killer’ Trailer: Kiernan Shipka Stars in a Time-Traveling Slasher

Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) is zapped back to 1987 and the weird fashion choices that come with dipping your toes in the late ’80s in the trailer for Prime Video and Blumhouse’s Totally Killer. The slasher comedy’s trailer finds Shipka unable to get the cops to believe she’s having a Back to the Future experience and that there’s a killer on the loose about to increase his victim count.

Joining Kiernan Shipka in the R-rated comedy are Julie Bowen, Olivia Holt, Charlie Gillespie, Lochlyn Munro, Troy Leigh-Anne Johnson, and Liana Liberato. The cast also includes Kelcey Mawema, Stephi Chin-Salvo, Anna Diaz, Ella Choi, Jeremy Monn-Djasgnar, Nathaniel Appiah, Jonathan Potts, and Randall Park.

Nahnatchka Khan (Always Be My Maybe, Fresh Off the Boat) directs from a screenplay by David Matalon, Sasha Perl-Raver, and Jen D’Angelo. Jason Blum, Adam Hendricks, and Greg Gilreath served as producers.

Totally Killer premieres on Prime Video on October 6, 2023.

The Plot:

Thirty-five years after the shocking murder of three teens, the infamous “Sweet Sixteen Killer“ returns on Halloween night to claim a fourth victim. Seventeen-year-old Jamie (Shipka) ignores her overprotective mom’s (Bowen) warning and comes face-to-face with the masked maniac and, on the run for her life, accidentally time-travels to 1987, the year of the original killings.

Forced to navigate the unfamiliar and outrageous culture of the 1980s, Jamie teams up with her teen mom (Holt) to take down the killer once and for all, before she’s stuck in the past forever.




‘The Simpsons’ Season 35 Unveils an Extended Trailer

Fox’s extended trailer for The Simpsons season 35 requires multiple viewing as it teases so much of what’s in store. The minute-long trailer was released in advance of the upcoming season 35 premiere which airs on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT.

Season 35 kicks off with an episode titled “Homer’s Crossing,” which finds Homer volunteering as a school crossing guard after feeling worthless at work. Because Homer’s involved, drama ensues when his safety squad receives too much funding and the crossing guards become a force to be feared.

Fox also released this description of the new season of television’s longest-running primetime scripted series:

The Simpsons exploded into a cultural phenomenon in 1990 and has remained one of the most groundbreaking and innovative entertainment franchises, recognizable throughout the world. The Emmy Award-, Annie Award-, and Peabody Award-winning animated comedy recently aired its 750th episode and will begin its 35th season this fall.

This season, Marge experiences a series of nightmares about young Bart’s childhood coming to an end; Homer accidentally volunteers for a school crossing guard position; sixty years in the future, Lisa recounts the story of how Homer was scapegoated for a power outage that plunged Springfield into darkness days before Thanksgiving; and the annual chilling trilogy ‘Treehouse of Horror XXXIV’ is back!”

Returning voice cast members include Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Harry Shearer, and Hank Azaria. James L. Brooks, Matt Groening, Matt Selman, and Al Jean serve as executive producers.




A&E Sets True Crime Fall 2023 Lineup

A&E’s fall 2023 lineup includes the return of Interrogation Raw, Accused: Guilty or Innocent? and Killer Cases. A&E’s true crime lineup also features the premiere of Murder in the 21st, a new series that dives into murder victims’ digital footprints.

A special edition of Cold Case Files examines prolific serial killer Joel Rifkin’s two still-unidentified victims and will air on A&E on September 30th.

INTERROGATION RAW – Returns Thursday, September 21 at 9pm ET/PT
Criminal cases can be won or lost in the interrogation room. Success can bring justice for the victims; failure can lead to guilty person walking free. Interrogation Raw is a true crime series that explores the delicate twists and turns of some of the most fascinating interrogations ever done.

Each hour-long episode will reveal every tactic, every make-or-break moment that occurs within those four walls. Armchair detectives will feel like they are in the room as the very detectives involved share play-by-play commentary on what is often a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. The tension is palpable since, by law, no suspect needs to talk at all. Those who do can stop at any time.

‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ Releases Teaser Trailer and Photos

Warner Bros. Pictures’ first teaser trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom features Aquaman riding a massive seahorse and Black Manta swearing he’ll defeat the King of Atlantis. The teaser, which arrived along with photos, also confirmed the full trailer will premiere in four days.

Jason Momoa returns as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is Black Manta, Patrick Wilson is Orm, Nicole Kidman is Atlanna, Amber Heard is Mera. Dolph Lundgren returns as King Nereus and Randall Park reprises his role as Dr. Stephen Shin.

Warner Bros. Pictures released this synopsis of the new Aquaman film:

“Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force.

To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.”

Aquaman director James Wan directs this sequel from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (story by Wan, Momoa, Johnson-McGoldrick, and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett). Wan, Peter Safran, and Rob Cowan served as producers, with Galen Vaisman and Walter Hamada executive producing.

Wan’s behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Don Burgess, production designer Bill Brzeski, editor Kirk Morri, composer Rupert Gregson-Williams, music supervisor Michelle Silverman, visual effects supervisor Nick Davis, and costume designer Richard Sale.

Aquaman opened in theaters on December 21, 2018 and grossed more than $1.1 billion during its worldwide theatrical run. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will open in theaters on December 20, 2023.

‘Quantum Leap’ Season 2 Episode 1 Photos, Cast, and Premiere Date

NBC’s popular primetime sci-fi drama Quantum Leap returns for season two with an episode that features Manifest‘s Melissa Roxburgh and Midnight, Texas‘s Francois Arnaud. Season two episode one, “This Took Too Long!,” airs on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 in the earlier time slot of 8pm ET/PT.

Raymond Lee leads the cast as Ben Song, Caitlin Bassett stars as Addison Augustine, and Ernie Hudson returns as Herbert “Magic” Williams. Mason Alexander Park plays Ian Wright and Nanrisa Lee is back as Jenn Chou. New season two regulars include Eliza Taylor (The 100) and Peter Gadiot (Yellowjackets) as Hannah Carson and Tom Westfall, respectively.

NBC describes Hannah as a “complex young woman, who may be more than she appears.” Tom Westfall is, per the network, a former special forces soldier and a high-ranking US Army Officer in the realm of Army Intelligence. Tom’s described as “thoughtful, centered, a spiritual kind of warrior who both men and women admire, but whose humility keeps him from ever being arrogant.”

“This Took Too Long!” Plot: Instead of leaping home as expected, Ben finds himself in 1978 aboard a top-secret military flight, transporting mysterious cargo. When the flight comes under attack, the plot deepens as Ben and the crew discover the sobering truth behind their mission.

It’s been nearly 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now, a new team, led by physicist Ben Song (Raymond Lee), has been assembled to restart the project in the hope of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.

Everything changes, however, when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving the team behind to solve the mystery of why he did it. At Ben’s side throughout his leaps is Addison (Bassett), who appears in the form of a hologram only Ben can see and hear. She’s a decorated Army veteran who brings level-headed precision to her job.

At the helm of the highly confidential operation is Herbert “Magic” Williams (Hudson), a no-nonsense career military man who has to answer to his bosses who won’t be happy once they learn about the breach of protocol. The rest of the team at headquarters includes Ian Wright (Park), who runs the Artificial Intelligence unit “Ziggy,” and Jenn Chu (Lee), who heads up digital security for the project.
