In the Eye of the Storm Season 4 Premiere Date and Trailer

Discovery Channel’s In the Eye of the Storm season four begins with tornadoes causing destruction across the Midwest. Season four premieres on June 28, 2026, with new episodes airing on Sundays at 10pm ET/PT.

The series features interviews with those who’ve experienced terrifying natural disasters, accompanied by footage shot by people on the ground during devastating storms.

Discovery Channel offers this description of what viewers can expect from season four:

“In the premiere episode, an unprecedented surge of warm, moisture-laden air from the Gulf sets the stage for a catastrophic outbreak across the Midwest and Ohio Valley. A massive tornado tears along a Kansas highway near Grinnell, tossing trucks aside while storm chaser Freddy McKinney follows the tornado’s path as entire homes are wiped away. In Marion, Illinois, a family preparing for their son’s birthday is forced to take shelter when 190 mile-per-hour winds tear through their home.

Later in the season, Hurricane Idalia hits Florida’s Big Bend, unleashing a terrifying combination of violent winds, towering storm surges, and catastrophic flooding along the Tampa Bay region. Hurricane Harvey fully submerges entire neighborhoods in Houston, and the small town of Gaylord, Michigan, which has never seen a tornado, suddenly gets hit with an EF3 twister, tearing up the entire downtown area. In rural Enderlin, North Dakota, a mile-wide tornado gets upgraded to an EF5 with estimated wind speeds of 230 to 266 miles an hour—the first recorded EF5 to strike in over 12 years.”

Dutton Ranch Episode 5 Recap: Rip and Beth Plot New Alliance in ‘Peaceful Find Peace’

Dutton Ranch episode 5 recap Cole Hauser
Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler in ‘Dutton Ranch’ episode 5 (Photo Credit: Emerson Miller/Paramount+)

Paramount+’s Dutton Ranch episode five opens with Beth and Rip (Cole Hauser) having a quiet day at the ranch, but it’s for a sobering reason. The cattle are dead so there’s nothing to do. Beth (Kelly Reilly) promises they’ll fill the pastures again, but it might take time. Carter still isn’t talking to her after not being told what was happening with the cattle.

(The following is a recap of episode five, “Peaceful Find Peace,” and there are spoilers.)

Rip’s temporary plan to pay the bills is to work with Beth’s sworn enemy, Beulah. Everett told Rip that Beulah’s current foreman is a “f**king idiot” and that Rip should try for the foreman job, at least on a temporary basis. Beulah (Annette Bening) is very cordial during the interview and seems impressed with Rip’s straight talk and resume. She’s looking for someone who will help fix their bottom line, someone smart enough to tackle all the current problems on the ranch.

Beulah also mentions she doesn’t like gossip and knows that if Rip worked for 25 years with John Dutton, then he understands how to guide a ranch. She offers him the job, stressing that the pay will be good and, more importantly, he’ll have her loyalty.

Beth’s obviously torn by Rip’s decision to work with Beulah. She offers to go back to work, but it would take her away from Texas. Neither she nor Rip wants that.

The 10-Petal cowboys seem shocked to see Rip show up bright and early in the bunkhouse. He doesn’t explain who he is or what’s going on. Rip orders them to saddle up and get ready to work in 10 minutes.

Only Chet, the current temporary foreman, balks at the order.

Dutton Ranch episode 5 recap Kelly Reilly

Back at the Dutton Ranch, Zachariah (Marc Menchaca) finishes with the horses and asks Beth if there’s anything else she needs. His work ethic impresses her, and she believes her dad would have liked him. They smoke while discussing prison, cattle, and God. She’s been busy researching online, trying to come up with a way out of their current situation. Zach hopes she figures something out.

Rip supervises as the cowboys separate the calves to wean them. Chet’s furious that Rip’s taken over and doesn’t take it well when Rip rides up, hits him in the shoulder and tells him to stop talking and get to work.

Beth’s still outside researching when Everett (Ed Harris) arrives with the horse they saved. He’s hoping she’ll brighten Beth’s day.

Meanwhile, Carter (Finn Little) is back at Dwight’s ranch and shows Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind) how to feed Xena. Carter reminds her not to mention he’s not going to school now that Rip’s working at her family’s ranch.

After Oreana leaves, Dwight (Ray McKinnon) warns Carter that she’ll break his heart into thousands of pieces. “And it’s gonna be the best goddamn feeling you ever had, you sly dog,” says Dwight. They toast to Carter’s future heartbreak.

Dwight wonders when he’s going to tell his parents that he’s not going to school. Carter confesses there aren’t any cattle on his ranch anymore after they all got sick. Carter misses Montana and Dwight suggests that he let his parents handle things for him now until he figures out what he wants to do. Carter insists he can take care of himself.

Rip watches as Chet and Austin (Sterlin English) go at it in the barn. The other cowboys take their cue from Rip and let the fight continue until Rip signals to stop it. Rip warns them to get their horses watered and return to work.

Rip has a chat with Austin alone as the day wraps up. He asks about Wes since Austin mentioned his name while punching Chet, and Austin says he disappeared off the ranch a couple of weeks ago. His wife and kid have gone missing too.

Rip doesn’t mention it but realizes it was Wes’s body he found on Dutton Ranch. Before leaving for the day, he fires Chet and orders him to pack up and leave the ranch.

None of the cowboys stand up for Chet and he tells them all to f**k off as he leaves.

Rip’s about to leave when Beulah invites him to stay for dinner. He politely declines until he learns she’s serving an 18-hour smoked brisket.

Night’s fallen and Carter’s still working at the ranch when cops drive up, lights and siren going. Dwight knows why but doesn’t explain it to Carter. He runs off and the cops chase him. Carter also runs in the dark when a cop orders him to stop. Carter doesn’t stop and keeps running toward Xena’s pen. When he arrives, Dwight is face down in front of the enclosure, with a bullet wound in the back.

The cops take Carter down too, and he listens to them claim Dwight had a knife and was going to attack them. Carter notices Dwight’s knife is still in its sheath.

Chet confronts Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba) about being replaced and fired. Chet brings up Wes’s murder and that he’s been covering for Rob-Will.  Joaquin reminds him that he had the gun and that his prints are on it, not his brother’s. Chet warns Joaquin that he knows about the ranch’s cattle and why Wes was murdered.

Beth’s still researching options while cooking dinner when she calls Rip. After learning he’s eating dinner there, she writes a note to Carter and leaves.

Meanwhile, Carter’s at the station and Sheriff Wade (Josh Stewart) informs him Dwight was a fraud and a thief. Carter calls Dwight his friend and Wade suggests that he forget what he saw if he doesn’t want his parents to know what happened. They’ll put this behind them and no one will know Carter was in any way involved.

Dutton Ranch Episode 5 Recap

Rip and Beulah enjoy dinner and she’s not shocked when Rip reveals that he fired Chet. They discuss how he and Beth became a couple, and Beulah’s genuinely interested in learning more about Beth. Rip describes her as beautiful, intelligent, fierce, tender, and raw. He thinks she’s a bit like Beulah. They toast to that.

Beulah offers him $8,000 a month plus a truck and a house. He doesn’t need anything but the salary and asks for $11,000. She agrees.

Carter’s walking back to his truck when Oreana shows up. He called her for a ride and sobs as they embrace.

Joaquin shows up unexpectedly at Sheriff Wade’s office asking where Whitney Ayers is. The sheriff hasn’t found her and believes she’s either dead or has fled somewhere they can’t reach.

Beth pops into Beulah’s for a drink minutes after Rip leaves 10-Petal. She wonders how Beulah oversees a ranch this size and handles the legacy. Beulah doesn’t seem to carry the weight of it, like John Dutton did. Beth cuts to the chase, wanting them to speak the unfiltered truth. She informs Beulah that they had to put their herd down because of hoof-and-mouth. Beulah’s shocked that Beth would confess this, given the trouble that would come if the authorities found out.

Beth confirms she doesn’t “do fear” or lose money. John wanted to keep the place whole and uphold a promise, and that ultimately killed him. She knows everyone has tried to take 10-Petal too, and that her family’s blood is in the dirt. Beth’s done her research and knows the lengths Beulah’s family has gone to to protect the ranch, including offering it up as a place to hunt big game.

Beth believes Beulah has a real backbone or she wouldn’t have survived all these years. She also believes hiring Rip is the best decision Beulah’s ever made. However, Beulah’s next move is what Beth is interested in. The ranch has existed for 190 years, and Beth insists that if Beulah hires her, she can rebuild the brand into a household name within three years.

Beth delivers her sales pitch, suggesting they move away from selling to big box stores and concentrate on high-end buyers. Beth can sell Beulah’s story and hiring her is basically offering Beulah an exit that not just keeps her legacy intact; it expands it.

“You don’t know me yet, but nobody will fight harder for you,” insists Beth. Between her and Rip, they’ll take this ranch to a new level. In exchange, she wants 20% of the profits and an out for both her and Rip in five years. However, the Dutton name is not for sale – now or ever.

Beth’s leaving as Joaquin arrives, and he wonders what she was doing at the ranch. Beulah confirms that Beth works for her now and that they’re going to sell premium certified Angus ranch-to-table. Joaquin’s shocked but Beulah believes in Rip and Beth, especially since Beth is a Dutton. Beulah calls her a fighter and a survivor, like a cockroach that can’t be killed.

Joaquin reminds her that Rip and Beth might not do what she wants. Beulah knows that people with secrets are corruptible.

Chet’s at home doing coke with a girl when Rob-Will pounds on his door.

Beth returns home and Rip’s sitting outside, waiting. When he asks what she’s up to, she says she has a plan. She promises that within a week, she’ll know everything she needs to know about Beulah. Rip’s already got dirt on her and spills the beans about Wes’s body being buried on their property. He thinks they need to be careful with Beulah’s family and didn’t tell her earlier because he was hoping for peace.

“Well, peace will have to wait,” replies Beth.

Expedition Unknown Season Premiere Discovers WWII Hellship Hōfuku Maru

Discovery Channel’s new season of Expedition Unknown premieres with an episode focused on the Hōfuku Maru. The two-part season premiere, “Hunt for the Hellships,” will air on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 9pm ET/PT.

“The story of the Hellships is a chapter in the history of WWII that demands to be brought to light,” said host and explorer Josh Gates. “The research and dives that led to this groundbreaking discovery can hopefully offer closure to the families of more than a thousand servicemen who made the ultimate sacrifice. It’s a privilege to work alongside the Hellships Memorial Foundation to honor their memories; they are lost no more.”

Gates and The Hellships Memorial Foundation worked together to locate the Hōfuku Maru, which sank in September 1944 with more than 1,000+ Allied prisoners on board. The season premiere also features the US Military’s DPAA (Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency), a group working to recover POW remains from the Ōryoku Maru, which sank in Subic Bay, Philippines.

Discovery released this description of the two-part season premiere:

“POWs called these floating concentration camps ‘Hellships,’ yet their shocking legacy remains one of the lesser-reported atrocities of the Second World War. More than 130 requisitioned cargo ships and passenger liners were repurposed by Imperial Japan to transport prisoners between forced labor sites across South Asia. Notorious for their brutally inhumane conditions, of the more than 125,000 Allied prisoners transported in ‘Hellships,’ an estimated 20,000 died onboard. And, because the Japanese would hide the ships within their military convoys, the vessels became targets for the Allies, who were unaware of their true purpose.

On September 21, 1944, the freighter Hōfuku Maru was sunk by an Allied torpedo, breaking in half and going under in less than three minutes, with up to 1,000 British and Dutch prisoners still in her holds. Tragically, the identity and location of the sunken Hellship was lost in the fog of war, and the story of the Hōfuku Maru largely forgotten…until now.

More than 80 years later, the Hellships Memorial Foundation – founded by retired U.S. Naval Officer Randy Anderson and later joined by researchers Tim Beckensall and John Duresky – uncovered long-buried documents in both the American and Japanese military archives that place the sinking of the Hōfuku Maru more than 30 miles away from where it was assumed to have been lost.

Explorer Josh Gates partnered with The Hellships Memorial Foundation, as well as underwater imaging specialist Evan Kovacs and maritime archaeologist Dr. Calvin Mires of Marine Imaging Technologies, LLC, on a heroic mission to locate the Hōfuku Maru. The team used sonar to confirm an uncharted wreck in their search zone, then conducted a series of deepwater dives to identify the wreck, culminating in the sobering discovery of human remains among the debris.

The size of the vessel along with the position of the ship’s masts, cargo holds, and detailed photogrammetry of the wreckage was compared against blueprints of the Hōfuku Maru, which matched to a tee. The wreck is also violently split into two pieces, matching both American and Japanese descriptions of her fate by torpedo hit.”

Brilliant Minds Season 2 Episode 16 Recap: Oliver Faces His Delusions

Brilliant Minds Season 2 Episode 16 Recap
Bellamy Young as Dr. Amelia Frederick and Zachary Quinto as Dr. Oliver Wolf in ‘Brilliant Minds’ season 2 episode 16 (Photo by: Pief Weyman/NBC)

Oliver (Zachary Quinto) confirms his recent medical history as NBC’s Brilliant Minds season two, episode 16, catches up with him at Hudson Oaks. Amelia (Bellamy Young) informs him she’s personally overseeing his case.

Oliver talks to his imaginary friend Sofia (Sarah Steele) in Hudson Oak’s dining hall, assuring her he’s there to rescue her. Oliver insists he faked a psychotic break to help her, and that there’s nothing wrong with her.

(The following is a recap of season two, episode 16—”Senses”—and there are spoilers.)

Oliver’s been at Hudson Oaks a week and he’s still convinced Sofia exists. He’s convinced that Amelia’s holding him and Sofia against their will. Amelia is equally certain she’ll be able to treat him and send him home…but not Sofia.

Over at the hospital, Oliver’s interns are anxious to get him back or at the very least visit him. Carol (Tamberla Perry) squashes that idea; he needs time to recover.

Josh (Teddy Sears) is told that for him to be promoted to the permanent chief of staff position, he needs to shore up neurology. The board doesn’t want Oliver back after he showed up during a psychotic break. If Josh can’t put the hospital above Oliver, then he won’t be given the position.

Oliver whispers to Sofia that it’s time to break into Amelia’s office. Sofia doesn’t think it’s a good idea, but Oliver is adamant. He’s frustrated that he can’t remember Sofia’s last name and she won’t tell him. Oliver steals a file, but Amelia catches him. He’s not ready to be discharged if this is how he’s going to behave.

The case of the week involves Head Chef Johnny Tang (Ben Levin), who isn’t feeling pain. He was badly burnt in the kitchen and doesn’t even flinch a week later when Dr. Anthony Thorne (John Clarence Stewart) removes a bandage. Ericka (Ashleigh LaThrop) wonders if the reduced sensitivity is why he waited so long to be treated. Neuro’s going to examine him, and Johnny asks for Dr. Wolf, since Wolf knew him before he was a Michelin Star chef. Of course, Wolf isn’t available.

Johnny gets agitated, refusing treatment from anyone but Wolf. He’s unaware that he’s urinated on himself after becoming upset. Thorne suggests he stick around and this time he doesn’t argue.

The blood tests come back normal, and Johnny refuses to stay for an MRI. Chef Nari Kim (Rosie Simon) stays behind and says this is all abnormal behavior. He’s been clumsy recently, in addition to getting injured.

Oliver participates in a group therapy session and it’s obvious the other patients resent the fact he acts like he doesn’t belong there. A patient disagrees when Oliver says none of them should be there, confessing that Hudson Oaks has given her a reason to live again.

Carol and Anthony go on a date and it turns out he’s taken her to a restaurant where he hosts a gathering of Bronx General employees. (Carol had no idea this gathering exists.) Anthony created it so that the employees can get things off their chest since outsiders might not understand what they go through.

Brilliant Minds Season 2 Episode 16 Recap

Ericka disobeys Carol’s suggestion and visits Oliver at Hudson Oaks. She tells him about Chef Tang’s medical issues and Oliver explains that he treated Johnny’s mother, who was suffering from MS. Since he refused to stay in the hospital, they can’t test him for MS.

Oliver makes a split-second decision and asks Ericka to wait for him in the parking lot. He’s going to grab Sofia and escape Hudson Oaks.

Oliver bursts into Sofia’s room and tells her they have a small window to escape. She doesn’t want to go and suggests that he check her file again. He does and can’t grasp that she isn’t real. Sofia gently tries to fill in gaps and explains that he created a protective delusion – a patient he could save – to help him heal and let go of his past. Sofia assures Oliver that he belongs there right now and that he can prove he’s not his dad by getting better. He sobs as he tells Sofia he doesn’t want her to go, but she has to and disappears.

The mirror confirms he’s all alone.

The facility goes into lockdown as Oliver attempts to escape. He runs down flights of stairs and fights with the nurses who try and restrain him. Oliver loses the battle and is sedated.

Amelia calmly speaks to Oliver after he’s settled down, reminding him that the reason he’s in this state is because of his father. She’s certain that his sense of self was shaken when his “dead” dad showed back up in his life. His psyche couldn’t handle it and he created Sofia.

Oliver asks for a different doctor.

Chef Tang serves his mother’s signature meal to Dana (Aury Krebs) and Ericka, and they try to hide the fact his food tastes horrible. They wait until he walks away to agree that he’s lost his sense of taste. A scream rings out and Johnny’s sliced his arm with a knife but can’t feel it.

This time Johnny has no choice but to stay at the hospital for tests. He suspects it’s MS and Ericka warns him not to jump to conclusions.

Josh asks Carol for her opinion on Wolf. How long will he be out? She honestly doesn’t know.

And now we finally get a throwback to a scene from an earlier episode. Charlie (Brian Altemus) tries to speak with Josh about Johnny, but Oliver calls from Hudson Oaks and interrupts their talk. Oliver insists he needs Josh’s help leaving the facility and that they’ve taken his phone. He becomes agitated again as the phone’s taken away.

Charlie tries to act as though he’ll take over for Oliver. He assures Josh the neurology department’s in good hands. Josh shuts him down and insists he’s not the leader of neuro in Oliver’s absence.

Johnny’s relieved when Ericka delivers lab results that don’t indicate an MS diagnosis. However, they’ll need more tests to figure out what’s going on. Unless, that is, he wants to take a field trip with her to see Oliver.

Oliver apologizes that Johnny has to see him at Hudson Oaks, and Ericka assures Oliver that it took courage to seek help. Johnny explains that he’s been using his mom’s old ceramic pot to help him deal with the grief, cooking in it for all three meals. But three weeks ago, he started feeling uncoordinated and experiencing brain fog. His loss of his senses of taste and smell made him feel like he was experiencing another death.

Suddenly, Johnny begins seizing.

A short while later, Oliver goes over the symptoms and possible causes with two of his fellow patients, as if he’s talking to his interns. Of course they don’t have the answers, but that doesn’t stop Oliver from working through the problem. When Oliver opened Johnny’s mouth, he saw his gums were inflamed. He thinks Johnny is suffering from lead poisoning because he used his mom’s heirloom pot.

Brilliant Minds Season 2 Episode 16 Recap
Aury Krebs as Dr. Dana Dang, Ashleigh LaThrop as Dr. Ericka Kinney, Al Calderon as Nurse Nico Silva, and Brian Altemus as Dr. Charlie Porter in ‘Brilliant Minds’ season 2 episode 16 (Photo by: Pief Weyman/NBC)

Oliver calls Ericka with his diagnosis just as Charlie accuses her of acting unprofessionally for taking Johnny to see Oliver. Dana takes Ericka’s side and Ericka doesn’t back down. She believes Charlie’s acting this way because he can’t get past hating someone who doesn’t deserve it.

Josh meets with the hospital board and admits he doesn’t plan to replace Dr. Wolf. He has faith in Oliver and suggests that no one should expect doctors to be invincible. Oliver is getting the help he needs, and if they fire him, they will be stigmatizing mental health. If he’s chief of staff, Oliver will stay on in his position as head of neurology. Josh praises Oliver’s skills and declares, “If my stance costs me the role of chief, well, so be it.”

Josh shocks the board by announcing he wants to terminate Charlie Porter’s residency.

Ericka and Dana tell Johnny the good news, confirming Oliver was right and that with treatment, his senses of taste and smell will quickly return. He just needs to rest.

Johnny agrees to do that, since Oliver was strong enough to let his team take over while he sought help. He turns over the evening service to his trusted next in command, Nari.

Carol turns down another date with Anthony at the restaurant. She doesn’t want to listen to other people’s problems or talk about her own. She’s had a tough year and just wants to feel good for once. Anthony helps with that by kissing her in the elevator.

Oliver finally speaks in group therapy, telling the group about his father, who is bipolar. It was difficult as a kid to understand what was happening to his dad, and he blamed psychiatric treatment centers for making his dad worse – which wasn’t true. Now he understands that it’s okay to admit he needs help.

A doctor tells him the mind is brilliant and it’s incredible the lengths it will go to to protect us. Getting help doesn’t mean he’s inherited a bipolar diagnosis from his dad. The doctor asks him if there’s something he positive he inherited from his dad. Oliver believes his dad was a really good doctor.

Oliver’s turned a corner toward healing just by understanding what he’s been suppressing. When Amelia says he can leave since his 72 hours are up, Oliver confesses that he’d like to stay. He asks for his phone to make a call and speaks with his mother, who doesn’t know he’s getting treatment. She wants to visit but he’s not quite ready for that yet.

Charlie and Nico (Al Calderon) go out for drinks after a rough day, and Nico helps Charlie get home safe. Charlie wonders if Nico thinks he’s a horrible person. Nico replies, “No. I just think you’re in a lot of pain.”

Oliver’s setting up for group when Josh shows up. They hug, the tightness increasing as the seconds go by.

Never Change! Trailer: Adults Return to High School in New Hulu Comedy

Hulu’s Never Change! takes adults back to high school, and the trailer shows the results are about what you’d expect. It’s a high school comedy, but definitely not a coming-of-age story, as adults are sent back to finish up their unfinished senior year.

The comedy stars John Reynolds (Yellowjackets), Sofia Black-D’Elia (Single Drunk Female), Carmen Christopher (English Teacher), Jo Firestone (writer, After Midnight), and Gary Richardson (The Chair Company). Rudy Pankow, Topher Grace, Jackie Cruz, Ana Gasteyer, Patti Harrison, Zach Cherry, and Maria Thayer fill out the ensemble.

“In 2008 the graduating class of North Meadows High School had their senior year cut short due to a disastrous tornado,” reads Hulu’s synopsis. “Now in their mid-30s, they’re being forced to return home and finish high school once and for all. Old flames, second chances—this is what nightmares are made of.”

Never Change! gets its streaming premiere on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ on June 17, 2026 following its world premiere debut at the Tribeca Film Festival.

John Reynolds wrote the screenplay and Marty Schousboe directed the comedy. Nicholas Hatton, Jason Woliner, Jon Watts, Jeremy Garelick, Will Phelps, Billy Rosenberg, and Jason Zaro served as producers, with Molle DeBartolo executive producing.

Anya Taylor-Joy is a Con Artist on the Run in ‘Lucky’ Trailer

Critics Choice Awards winner Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit) stars as a con artist on the run in Apple TV’s Lucky, based on the bestseller by Marissa Stapley. The streamer’s official trailer shows the titular character (Taylor-Joy) being reminded by her dad that he passed on skills to help her survive. But the action-packed trailer confirms that won’t be easy after a betrayal and a heist gone wrong.

Annette Bening (Dutton Ranch) stars as Lucky’s mother-in-law and Timothy Olyphant (Alien: Earth) plays her father. The limited series also stars Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Drew Starkey, Clifton Collins Jr., and William Fichtner.

“When a multi-million-dollar heist goes sideways, con artist Lucky (Taylor-Joy) is forced to go on the run,” reads Apple TV’s synopsis. “Pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, Lucky must fight for her life—and a way out.”

Apple TV will release the first two episodes on July 15, followed by new episodes on Wednesdays.

Jonathan Tropper created the series and serves as writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner. Co-showrunner Cassie Pappas also executive produces along with Anya Taylor-Joy, Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, and Jonathan van Tulleken (episode one’s director). The series is produced by Apple Studios and Hello Sunshine.
