‘Star Search’ Trailer Explains How the Winner Will Be Chosen

The judges and series host Anthony Anderson describe how Netflix’s new take on Star Search is going to determine its winner in the official trailer for the reality competition series. The revamped series debuts on January 20, 2026 at 9pm ET/6pm PT, with new episodes airing live on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for five weeks.

Jelly Roll, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Chrissy Teigen serve as judges, and viewers will be able to cast their votes live for their favorites just by using their remotes.

“Star Search is back! The talent is bigger, the stakes are higher, and the format is more interactive than ever. Each episode will spotlight the best up-and-coming performers across numerous categories—music, dance, variety, comedy, magic, and juniors—as they compete head-to-head for their shot at stardom,” reads Netflix’s synopsis. “With an arced competition structure and weekly eliminations with real-time global voting, the series builds dramatic momentum, making every live episode an unmissable event.”

Jason Raff (America’s Got Talent) and David Friedman (Bring the Funny) guide the live event series as showrunners. Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, Madison Merritt, Elaine Metaxas, Taraji P. Henson, and Steve Mosko serve as executive producers.

‘Naked and Afraid’ Season 19 Drops a Trailer and Sets Premiere Date

Discovery Channel’s set a February 15, 2026 premiere date for season 19 of the survival series, Naked and Afraid. New episodes will air on Sundays at 8pm ET/PT.

The new season, which Discovery describes as the most raw and adrenaline-charged to date, will find the survivalists paired up and dropped into five brutal locations. The season’s first expanded episode brings back Matt Wright, who’ll join a past Naked and Afraid participant seeking redemption and a newcomer to the franchise in the Florida Everglades.

Season 19 also features a franchise first involving survivalists Ky Furneaux and Dan Link. Per Discovery Channel: “Ky Furneaux and Dan Link face 14 days on a remote island without any tools of any kind—no firestarter, pot, or blade—in the most extreme test of human survival. Another groundbreaking challenge brings together a group of five fearless social media influencers to prove if their online personas can withstand the raw, primal reality of mother nature.”

The popular survival franchise has expanded to include Naked and Afraid Alone, Apocalypse, Castaways, Last One Standing, and Frozen.

‘Best Medicine’ Episode 3 Preview: Photos, Promo and Air Date

Martin’s still not hitting it off with all of Port Wenn’s residents on Fox’s Best Medicine season one, episode three, “Take Me Out of the Ballgame.” Episode three will air on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 8pm ET/PT.

“Take Me Out of the Ballgame” Plot: On the eve of Port Wenn High School’s baseball team’s playoff game, the town is furious with Martin when he accidentally breaks the arm of their star player, who happens to be the son of his high school bully. However, Martin suspects the boy has a more serious condition. Meanwhile, Elaine moves into Martin’s waiting room after fighting with her mom, Aunt Sarah rivals with a fan of the opposing team, and Louisa makes a conscious effort to make some female friends.

Season one stars Josh Charles as Dr. Martin Best, Abigail Spencer (Suits) as Louisa Gavin, Annie Potts (Young Sheldon) as Aunt Sarah, Josh Segarra (Sirens) as Sheriff Mark Mylow, and Cree (Twinless) as Elaine Denton. Recurring guest stars include Didi Conn as councilwoman Geneva Potter, Clea Lewis as pharmacist Sally Mylow, Stephen Spinella as Greg Garrison, Jason Veasey as George Brady, Cindy De La Cruz as Jeannie, John DiMaggio as Bert Large, Carter Shimp as Al Large, and Wattson as Copernicus.

The series follows Martin Best (Charles), a brilliant surgeon who abruptly leaves his illustrious career in Boston to become the general practitioner in a quaint East Coast fishing village where he spent summers as a child. Unfortunately, Martin’s blunt and borderline rude bedside manner rubs the quirky, needy locals the wrong way, including schoolteacher Louisa Gavin (Spencer). He quickly alienates the town, even though he’s all they have.

Although Martin can expertly address any medical ailment or mystery in this idiosyncratic town, he’s really just desperate to be left the hell alone. Instead, he keeps getting dragged smack into the middle of their personal chaos, feuds, and fantasies. What the locals don’t know is that Martin’s terse demeanor masks a debilitating new phobia and deep-seated psychological issues that prevent him from experiencing true intimacy with anyone. But tenacity is the creed of everyone in their small village, and the people who live there may be exactly what the doctor ordered.

‘Doc’ Season 2 Episode 12 Preview: The Hacker Storyline Continues

The promo for Fox’s medical drama Doc season two, episode 12, teases a showdown between Amy and Hannah as the hacker investigation heats up. Episode 12, directed by Scott Wolf, will air on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 9pm ET/PT.

“Inquisition” Plot: Charlie fights for his life at Westside with Hannah by his side. The Board launches an internal investigation into Brian Clark’s resignation, putting everyone in the hot seat and motivating Amy to figure out what happened before the hospital can make her a scapegoat. A familiar face returns to Westside and Amy is not happy about it.

Molly Parker stars as Dr. Amy Larsen, Omar Metwally plays Dr. Michael Hamda, Felicity Huffman is Dr. Joan Ridley, Amirah Vann is Dr. Gina Walker, and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim plays Katie Hamda. Jon Ecker is Dr. Jake Heller and Anya Banerjee plays Dr. Sonya Maitra.

“Inspired by a true story and based on the hit eponymous Italian drama series, Doc begins its second season of the life-affirming medical drama following the heartbreak and victories of hard-charging, brilliant physician DR. AMY LARSEN (Parker) as she rebuilds her life after a car crash erased eight years of her memory. This season, Amy will continue to confront hard truths about her missing years, work to repair fractured relationships and seek to reconcile the person she used to be with the one everyone else has come to know.

Determined to get her memory back and piece together who she really is, Amy’s goal is to become the doctor she used to be in those missing years and to eventually, once again, be Chief of Internal Medicine. Amy continues to fight her feelings and let Michael go, especially now with the birth of his son with his new wife, bringing up emotions for both Amy and their daughter KATIE HAMDA (Fountain-Jardim). Amy’s on-again, off-again relationship with Chief Resident DR. JAKE HELLER (Ecker) is a bit more delicate as he struggles to protect his heart from her this time around. However, DR. SONYA MAITRA (Banerjee) would only be too glad to pick up the pieces, navigating the balance between her feelings for Jake and her complicated resentment towards Amy.

The second season of Doc begins as Amy’s past comes back to haunt her when a desperate father sacrifices everything to secure his daughter’s heart transplant. Chaos and confusion reverberate through the hallways of Westside Medical when a subsequent high-stakes emergency leaves a doctor’s life in the balance.”

‘The Madison’ Debuts First Photos and New Details

Paramount+ teased new details on Taylor Sheridan’s latest drama, The Madison, and apparently, even though everyone assumed it was somehow connected to Yellowstone, it is not a spinoff.  What is confirmed is that it’s a “profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation.”

The streamer also confirmed a Saturday, March 14, 2026 premiere date.

Oscar nominee Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters) lead the six-episode season. The cast also includes Beau Garrett (Firefly Lane), Elle Chapman (A Man Called Otto), Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Amiah Miller (War for the Planet of the Apes), and Alaina Pollack (The Surrender). Ben Schnetzer (3 Body Problem), Kevin Zegers (Power), Rebecca Spence (Lady in the Lake), Danielle Vasinova (1923), and Matthew Fox (Lost) also star.

“The Madison is Sheridan’s most intimate work to date, unfolding across two distinct worlds—the beautiful landscape of Montana and the vibrant energy of Manhattan—as it examines the ties that bind families together,” reads Paramount+’s synopsis. “Introducing the Clyburns, the six-episode first season of The Madison is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”

The new drama is produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions. Executive producers include Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Voros, Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox. Series stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell also serve as executive producers.

‘Love, Ted Bundy’ Documentary Takes a Different Approach to Bundy’s Story

Oxygen has set a February 15, 2026 premiere date for the true crime documentary Love, Ted Bundy. The prolific serial killer’s story has been told multiple times since his arrest in 1975. However, Oxygen’s new original documentary focuses on Edna Martin, an interesting figure in Bundy’s tale who has remained in the background for 50 years.

Christopher Cassel directed the documentary and serves as an executive producer along with Joseph Freed and Allison Berkley.

“As America’s most notorious serial killer Ted Bundy awaited execution, he exchanged a series of death row letters with the woman who loved him like a brother—his cousin, Edna Martin,” reads Oxygen’s synopsis. “For fifty years, Edna concealed her identity, desperate to protect her family from public scrutiny. Now, she is finally ready to tell her story and reveal her deeply personal collection of letters for the first time in Love, Ted Bundy.

Through exclusive photographs and first-time interviews with family and friends, Edna reveals stories about her cousin only she can tell. Love, Ted Bundy offers an intimate and unsettling portrait of one of America’s most notorious serial killers through the eyes of someone who believed she truly knew him.”

Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the first look at Game of Thrones‘ Sophie Turner as Lara Croft. Turner is starring in Prime Video’s upcoming Tomb Raider series, based on the incredibly popular video game.

“I’ve been a long-time fan of Tomb Raider and the character of Lara. She has always felt for me, very emboldened in a male-dominated world. She’s a fierce female role model!” stated Sophie Turner.

The first photo was released in conjunction with the beginning of production on the action series. Amazon MGM Studios’ short synopsis reads: “The Prime Video series Tomb Raider is based on the iconic Tomb Raider video game franchise, which follows the adventures of world-famous archaeologist and adventurer Lara Croft.”

Prime Video also released details on the cast and characters who’ll be joining Turner as Lara Croft:

‘Amadeus’ with Will Sharpe and Paul Bettany Coming to Starz

Following its premiere in the UK, Starz has picked up the Sky Original limited series Amadeus, starring Will Sharpe (The White Lotus) in the titular role. Paul Bettany (WandaVision) and Gabrielle Creevy (Three Women) also star in the period drama, which will debut on Starz later this year.

The five-episode limited series also stars Rory Kinnear (The Diplomat) as Emperor Joseph, Lucy Cohu (Becoming Jane) as Cecilia Weber, Jonathan Aris (The Sixth Commandment) as Leopold Mozart, Ényì Okoronkwo (The Lazarus Project) as Da Ponte, and Jessica Alexander (The Little Mermaid) as Katerina. Hugh Sachs (Bridgerton) plays Von Strack, Paul Bazely (Such Brave Girls) is Von Swieten, Rupert Vansittart (Game of Thrones) is Rosenberg, Anastasia Martin (In From The Cold) is Aloysia Weber, and Nancy Farino (Masters of the Air) is Josepha Weber.

Rounding out the ensemble are Olivia-Mai Barrett (Invasion) as Sophie Weber, Viola Prettejohn (The Crown) as Princess Elizabeth, and Jyuddah Jaymes (The Boys in The Boat) as Franz Süssmayr.

Starz offers this description of the limited series: “Twenty-five-year-old Amadeus arrives in bustling 18th-century Vienna, no longer a child prodigy and craving creative freedom, his world collides with two pivotal figures: his fiercely loyal future wife, Constanze Weber (Creevy), and devoutly religious court composer, Antonio Salieri (Bettany). As Amadeus’ brilliance continues to flourish in spite of his personal demons, a questionable reputation, and skepticism from the conservative court, Salieri becomes increasingly tormented by this apparent divine gift.

Amadeus is a threat to all that he holds dear in life: his talent, his reputation, even his faith in God. Salieri vows to bring him down. Joe Barton adapted Peter Shaffer’s critically acclaimed play and serves as an executive producer along with John Griffin, Megan Spanjian, Michael Jackson, Stephen Wright, Will Sharpe, Paul Bettany, and Julian Farino. Alice Seabright and Farino are the directors.

Amadeus was produced by Two Cities Television (part of STV Studios) in association with Sky Studios.

‘The Bride!’ Trailer: The Dead Have Something to Say

Warner Bros. Pictures’ official trailer for The Bride! gives off real Bonnie and Clyde vibes, with Frankenstein’s monster and the bride subbing in for the infamous gangsters. And as Jessie Buckley, playing the titular character, warns, “Life is here and it’s coming to you from the monsters.”  

Christian Bale plays Frankenstein and Annette Bening is Dr. Euphronious. Peter Sarsgaard, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Penélope Cruz also star.

“A lonely Frankenstein (Bale) travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (Bening) to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered young woman and The Bride (Buckley) is born,” reads Warner Bros. Pictures’ synopsis. “What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A wild and radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance!”

Maggie Gyllenhaal wrote, directed, and served as a producer. Additional producers include Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Talia Kleinhendler, and Osnat Handelsman Keren. Carla Raij, David Webb, and Courtney Kivowitz are the executive producers.

The behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Lawrence Sher, production designer Karen Murphy, editor Dylan Tichenor, music supervisor Randall Poster, composer Hildur Gudnadóttir, and costume designer Sandy Powell. 

The Bride! opens in theaters and IMAX on March 6, 2026.

‘Will Trent’ Season 4 Episode 3 Preview: “Studio 4B”

ABC’s Will Trent season four continues with Will finally free from Ulster once and for all. Or is he…? Only time will tell what Ulster’s final words meant. Episode three, “Studio 4B,” will air on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 8pm ET/PT.

“Studio 4B” Plot: When a model is murdered, Will and Faith dive into a twisted art-world conspiracy, aided by Ava, his former flame. Meanwhile, Betty’s instincts turn a routine neighborhood check for Ormewood, Angie and Nico into a critical lead on a dangerous case.

Ramón Rodríguez stars as the titular character, Erika Christensen plays Angie Polaski, Iantha Richardson is Faith Mitchell, and Jake McLaughlin is Michael Ormewood. Kevin Daniels is Franklin Wilks, Sonja Sohn plays Amanda Wagner, and Bluebell returns as Betty.
