‘9-1-1: Nashville’ Adds LeAnn Rimes as a Season 1 Regular

Country music star and actor LeAnn Rimes has signed on to 9-1-1: Nashville, a new spinoff of the popular 9-1-1 series set in the titular city. Rimes joins season one stars Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley as a series regular.

ABC’s casting announcement didn’t reveal any details on Rimes character. Rimes also didn’t spill the beans when she posted on Instagram: “I can’t wait for you to meet my character. We’re going to have some FUN!! Here’s to a new adventure!”

“Set in Music City, 9-1-1: Nashville explores the high-stakes lives of first responders in one of America’s most iconic cultural hubs,” reads ABC’s synopsis. Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani are writing and will executive produce. Additional executive producers include Chris O’Donnell, Brad Buecker, Brad Falchuk, and original 9-1-1 star Angela Bassett.

LeAnn Rimes has sold more than 48 million records, won two Grammy Awards, and has had 15 Top 10 hits. Rimes also served as a coach on The Voice UK and Australia, and was a mega mentor on NBC’s The Voice season 27. Her acting credits include It’s Christmas, Eve, Logan Lucky, and Coyote Ugly.
